Has anyone else found the Highroller III to be absolutely terrifying on off camber dusty rocks? I was really liking how this tire was handling blown out and dusty conditions until I took it down some steep and rocky Colorado tech where you have to place the tires on the rocks instead of between them. I think Im going to switch back to and Assegai after that lol

Any questions about the DHX or updated DH casing let me know, both were my projects. In general the DHX does everything our current dry tires do, but has more capability for high load high speed conditions. I designed it to excel in the bike park oriented World Cup tracks but still not give up performance in soft or natural sections compared to current dry tires. I typically use the climb switch once per ride. I like to turn it on halfway up the climb when I remember I have it and might as well use it. I tend to turn it off halfway down the descent when I’m puzzling over why my suspension isn’t working. I suspect I am not in the minority.

In the riders relevant measurements i see that Johans "Thing" measures 53 cm. I don't know how that's relevant but damn i'm impressed.

Neither the Eddy Current nor the Albert are good rear tread patterns for the trails I ride. Their Soft rubber is the same, and will wear just as fast. Having more knobs doesn't change that. Fresh High Roller 3 and DHR 2 today felt great and predictable - I like being able to feel what the tire knobs are doing.

Codahale, not surprised to hear this. I found the MM radial a good all arounder. It does everything pretty well and does loamier dirt in the San Juan high country really well. To me it doesn't quite have that same level of locked in when leaning feel that the TC seems to, like a DHF, but it certainly hooks up fine and doesn't seem to need as much of a committed lean as the TC does to bite fairly well in natural bermless corners. The TC does seem to have more outright cornering grip when ya commit and lean on...

Agreed that this motor/CVT is predictable, inevitable, and nonetheless a really BFD for the ebike market and makers of traditional derailleur-driven drivetrains. I know I'm going to sound like a broken record here, but high performance eMTB sales represent a very small market, whereas the real effects of this are going to be seen in the touring/commuter/pavement pounder market. I'd wager Shimano and SRAM sells 100 times more derailleurs/shifters/cassettes to the touring/commuter/pavement pounder ebike market vs. what they sell for high end eMTBs.
