I’m not world class by any means but I was able to hit 1244W during a sprint workout today. Granted, it was just for 2 seconds though so your point stands!

First ride report on Tacky Chan Trail Pro radials, super soft up front, soft in back, 22psi front, 25psi rear, 29" front and rear on a Yeti SB160 on DT Swiss EXC 1501 wheels. 1143 grams each. They roll fast for a meaty tire. Better than the Magic Mary. Maybe better than the Albert. On par with a DHF exo+ maxxterra 3c I'd say. Faster than an Assegai for sure. Not as fast as a Forecaster. Same excellent radial dampening. Big cornering traction with a locked in feel that is confidence inspiring- more so than the Magic Mary. No vague...

Be More Bikes prototype Bronson was showing off the fifth iteration of his prototype bike. It’s a wild bike designed to test the limits of geometry and amplify the benefits of their RR stem (made famous by Reece Wilson). You can find plenty of details about the goals behind the stem and bike on Instagram , but here are some details of the bike: Steel frame 500mm chain stay 445mm frame reach Reach to bar is ~350mm 100mm stem rise / -15mm stem reach Stem + bar back sweep puts handlebars ~40-50mm behind steering axis Custom drop crowns to accommodate...

Picked up a Tacky Chan and Romy radial and took them out for a spin. The radial TC definitely feels more compliant and less twitchy at speed than the 2.4 version. Less gap between the knobs means not getting caught in no man's land when I can't get the bike leaned over enough to fully engage the side knobs. Definitely looses some the snappiness vs the 2.4, but I think it's a more well rounded front tire and rolls faster than the MM. The Romy rolls well and offers solid grip. I always felt like the Albert on the rear...

The Blister Review folks are doing a series of interviews with folks on their Bikes & Big Ideas podcast about people in the industry and 32 inch wheels. The most recent one interviews Daniel Yang of Neuhaus Metalworks, a frame builder and bike designer who’s actually built and ridden a few 32” bikes. He had a really interesting perspective on...

6-4 here plus3 ape, and while I was gona mention that this is the wrong thread, I’d also like to mention that the geometry outliers are also hunting new bike geo to constantly find “that thing” that they’ve been missing for a while, mostly for me and I think S666 it’s a cockpit we can move around in and still control the bike. Outliers? Yes. Buyers? Also yes. FWIW: the answer is currently , NORCO.

I know this is dangerously close to a chainstay derail, but I love that Forbidden made a 120mm bike with a 464mm chainstay in the XL size. That's real long, but if you don't like it you can buy literally any other XL lightweight 120mm bike. Curious how it rides. Could be sick. [Editor's note: I THINK THIS COUNTS AS AN INNOVATION]

I worked on advocacy for the 15 minute city concept, and can tell you that literally no one has actually proposed restricting travel. That idea is a "bUt OuR fReEdUmB" talking point aimed at people who do their own "research".

Well I guess that's good as the current one is pretty piss poor up front unless you have grippy enough terrain to get to those side knobs and stay there. I've never had an issue with the dead spot in a front tire until the TC but in my loose rocks it was a lot of mad grip with edge biting followed by massive slip when terrain prevented full commitment, and it got tiresome. Also, I agree with radials just not working at higher speeds for me. You can add a lot of air pressure to counteract this but then...

I’ve ridden the mm radial at pressures between 18 and 32. It doesn’t have the same levels of support as other tires and it becomes noticeable (to me) when riding trails that are 15+ mph. If I were to list the tires I’ve ridden in terms of sidewall support it would probably go something like: Mich dh 22 Mich enduro ms Conti kryptotal dh Mich enduro mh Mm gravity Mm radial gravity Assegai exo+
