10/7/2025 8:28pm It's okay though, the Tariffs will bring Hope back to the US where they so clearly belong, after they outsourced their engineering to Lancashire to make it cheaper 😂

9/27/2025 12:51pm FWIW I am amazed at how uncomfortable the ride is anytime I sit on a MTB hardtail. After racing xc on a hardtail for 6 years 20 years ago. Maybe a full suss gravel bike would make sense for someone used to a trail/enduro bike and the comfort it brings.

9/27/2025 11:35am I mean, the short version of it is that neither the Albert nor the MM have tread patterns which work well on the local terrain and despite going from underinflated to overinflated in 1psi increments I was never able to find a tire pressure which provided the support I wanted without uncontrolled rebounding off rocks. I think your first clue...

9/25/2025 6:55am What I’ve noticed is that there’s an intersection of people and terrain for which Schwalbe Radials are such a good fit that they’re convinced that all other tires are trash. I’m glad y’all like them, but my time on the Albert Trails was some of the most frustrating, terrifying riding I’ve done. I spent a full week methodically trying to...

9/25/2025 6:42am Having given Radials 3 solid tries and not liked them, I'd like to point out that my number 1 issue with those tires is Schwalbe's knob patterns. The Albert is a really shitty front tire for me (sucks at loose and very rounded profile) and a fairly shitty rear tire for me (lousy braking down loose chutes). The Mary is a good loose tire for me but a compromised tire for hardpack, and a fucking boat anchor in the back. I think I still was feeling compromises on strictly the Radial aspect of the casing, but could probably find a...

9/21/2025 2:04pm I tried Radial again (3rd go), this time with a Gravity MM up front. I ran a Super Gravity Tacky Chan in the back because I had previously tried Gravity Radial MM & Albert in the rear, and didn't like either as a rear tire (either too slow, or poor grip in loose). I ran the MM 3 psi higher than what I normally run a DH Argotal and ran the TC the same pressure I run a DH Kryptotal. First run I dove right into a quick steep run that has loose ruts and loose off camber, and both...

9/21/2025 11:51am I mean, I'll go on record and say I much prefer wireless shifting and have been extremely happy with my Gx Transmission drivetrains. That being said, I really don't give a flying monkey's banana on what people run, and I really wish people would stop being so damn angry that wireless shifting exists. I think people miss just how easy it is to swap wireless drivetrains around when you do have issues. When my Gx T-type did die, it was a quick 5 min job to swap to another one off another one of my bikes and keep going, and...

9/21/2025 11:50am Disagree. I do less maintenance on my electronic stuff than I ever did on mechanical. The stuff that does get maintained is present in both flavors (i.e. jockey wheel bearings). The time I spend annually removing batteries to put them on chargers & replacing them is measured in single digit minutes. I'm not saying that everyone SHOULD go wireless, I'm just saying the anti-battery crowd makes wireless systems out to be some overly complex thing when in reality they're not.

9/11/2025 10:14am Maybe not the most interesting news but - For you who run the AXS Transmission groupset from SRAM Apparently there is a new update coming any day now that is supposed to speed up shifting, similar to XPLR speeds. Not sure how it will work, since afaik its designed to shift only at the ramp in the casette to shift smoothly even under full power. Dont know how increased speed will affect that.

9/10/2025 11:13am Does anyone seriously believe that 99% of the people in this thread aren’t also in the PB comments. The irony of claiming PB is filled with virtue signalers, while simultaneously saying Vital is better than PB. Both sites have their differences and are staples.

8/30/2025 12:22pm Except most people aren't that convinced they actually do that much good anyway. So the main benefit to the consumer (bling factor and showing off in the lift line) would be nullified if it were concealed in a seatpost.
