codahale Added a reply to Handle bar rise and stems
6/12/2021 5:07pm 6’4”, Megatower XXL (665mm stack), settled on 10mm of spacers, a I9 A35 stem (40mm, +6mm of rise), and OneUp bars w/ 35mm of rise. I’ve run 30mm of spacers and ENVE’s 50mm M9 risers, but outside of a few gnarly chutes a more balanced position has felt better. Pretty easy to get long frames these days; really dang hard...

7/31/2020 11:10am This was my experience with them up in Fort Collins, too. They hooked up great in spring and then the instant things dried out, the tread evaporated. I got ~175mi out of them. I’m back to my Assegai/DHR2 combo.

3/12/2020 1:22pm It is fantastic. The MT hadn't been released when I ordered this or I would have gotten one. This by far has the tallest bar height of any bike I have every owned and I love it. I also have a 35mm rise bar on there to get the front end as high as possible and am running all of the factory headset spacers under the step. Having the tall front end makes it the most comfortable bike I have ever owned or ridden and I have no issues, climbing, descending, etc.

3/12/2020 10:02am God that sounds pleasant. My current bike has a 637mm stack and even with 50mm risers and a startling number of spacers I still have to fold like Nino Schurter to stay on top of drops.

3/12/2020 9:27am How’s the stack height on that feel? I’ve got an XXL MT on order b/c I’m tired of having my bars at shin level, and SC seems like the only bike company that increases stack proportionally to reach.

So I designed this thing, a 205-220mm travel (currently at 215mm) Downhill bike. I've been riding it almost everyday since I was able to tune the suspension to my liking (ditched the harsh EXT for an X2). It performs very nicely as a downhill bike going down yet still climbs like any other efficient enduro bike can. Sure, enduro bikes have become more capable and are creeping up to downhill travel numbers but why don't bike companies just go all the way. They keep teasing us with slight increments every year. There must be a market for such bikes...

8/11/2019 12:40pm Do you ever wish you could communicate as effectively and as seamlessly about suspension as Loris Vergier and Jordi Cortez? Well now you can finally learn the secret language of the pros as the Loris Vergier Soundboard becomes available to the greater public. Suspension packing down? That's probably a "Duusvduusvduusv" event. Skipping off the top and harsh? "Cah cah cah" or "Cahcahcahcahcah", and you've made yourself clear!
