Atherton bikes and frameworks were interesting developments to see try to establish themselves on the World Cup scene. Warner Brothers are about to nuke the whole sport by pushing out these smaller brands. The large factory teams are probably in favour of the new format as it guarantees them exposure at all the races. I wish riders would boycott but if they won't I hope that the elite riders salaries increase by a substantial amount because crashes and Injuries have been getting worse the last few years

while i agree that many riders often have "more" bike than they need for a given trail, i'm not sure if this comes from a desire to be "overbiked" or just that many riders have one bike. they need it to cover many different kinds of terrains and difficulty levels - which results on inherently being overbiked on some trails.

The damper is pretty consistent. Damper fluid is designed to have consistent viscosity across a wide range of temperatures… that is the whole reason to have a special oil. Plus the fact that shim valves aren’t terribly sensitive to viscosity in the first place. I’ve run these experiments on a dyno FYI- small % changes at most. Air springs on the other hand gain noticeable pressure when hot. I’m always a bit skeptical when someone complains about their coil shock becoming a pogo stick due to heat. More than likely it’s you and your (weak, non-world cup) legs getting fatigued...

This comment is so asinine. What ‘type’ of man is Aaron? What type of man would he be if the thumbnail was riding? Would he not love his wife? Not to mention the thumbnail was probably chosen by an editor and Aaron may not have even given input.

I'm kind of surprised no one mentioned new Firebird. Yeah it has sharper edges and a different headtube style than the current Pivots, but the flip chip on the swingarm is almost identical to the current firebird. Plus the overall suspension layout is really similar to the previous firebird. Also, the current Pivot shock layout is a bit limiting for ebikes, hence the angled shock on the Shuttle LT. This layout leaves tons of space for motors and batteries.

Looks like an interesting upper link... is there another link something pulling it from the back? Dual link variation of delta? Edit: Also looks like two bolts in the top of the swingarm connector link? Maybe the pull link doesn't pivot at the swingarm but pulls at the rocker?
