The Antidote looks really slim, own battery tech, 600Wh only or what is it? Regarding the "much more than just another one", I guess it is the same service offerings that make all their other bikes also unique, custom paint, repaint options, ...

They say "It will be so much more than just another e-bike". It looks great but I predict it'll just be another e-bike.

Yeah, tha seems to be the case looking at the first sneak peak pictures that had a raw finish and now the latest ones with the same finish and sharpie markings...

Sorry for late reply (I don't take a look here too often), but I work for big suspension supplier in automotive sector and I had a few opportunities to measure mtb shocks. I've measured my friend's dhx2 '19, my own sdlx coil '20 and brand new Bomber CR. I did a few test runs of bomber. My very first run and the last one was on the same settings, and what caught my attention was damping forces drop of 400 Newtons at 0,5 m/s. I didn't measure temperature (from experience it was between 40-50 C degrees), and unfortunatelly I can't...

Thanks! But do you really consider a 15% change in force for 20 degree change in temperature neglegible? Seems like quite a lot to me. Of course this is not true for all oils.

You mean like this? - https://thesuspensionlab.nz/blog/2021/1/31/effects-of-temperature-on-su… I ran those tests about 5 years ago, it just took a while to get round to writing them up. It was mostly comparing different oils to see how much affect they had but overall the changes were pretty minor. I've found on the trail that shocks heat up pretty rapidly to around 20*c (even bouncing around the carpark will warm it up alot) and then starts to taper off and typically reach an equilibrium between 30 and 40 degrees. Through that range the different in damping is negligible. There might be some cases...

I think Dave mentioned at some point it's not that big of an issue? FWIW, the old Vivid had a plastic rebound needle to compensate for the temperature differences (warming up would close off the rebound needle port due to expansion), don't think it's a feature on any other shocks though. Regarding my 'making bikes to sell' comment, I've mentioned in the 'companies going under' thread bikes are a bit different to what happens in motorsport - in F1, LMP1, MotoGP and the like, the companies (factories) make vehicles made specifically to race in the racing series, mostly to race...

Highly depends, there are customer teams for the LMDh cars, in the older days when exhaust wasn't that big of an issue people bought 911 RSR's and drove them on the street, or there are even 962's being driven on public roads. KTM also offeres their yearly Dakar bikes to the public very limited quantity and very high prices, but...

They started at 15° ambient, got to 40° without the fins, that is 25 without against 20 with fins delta°, or 20% cooler, I think that is quite good for what it is. Especially considering that the oil volume has no air spring or coil wrapped around it that is shielding it from airflow, so the cooling without fins is...

Anybody can tell me what master cylinder diameter the Mavens have? DB8 should be the same 9.5mm like the codes, but multiple outlets mentioned that for the mavens the diameter was dajusted but they don't say to what or how much - maybe someone of you knows? Besides that pulled the trigger and looking forward to test them, can compare...
