Hello Vital MTB Visitor,
We’re conducting a survey and would appreciate your input. Your answers will help Vital and the MTB industry better understand what riders like you want. Survey results will be used to recognize top brands. Make your voice heard!
Five lucky people will be selected at random to win a Vital MTB t-shirt.

Creative bb weight packaging on Jackson’s bike
Also weight inserts inside the crank spindle
Gotta say, that's a really clean setup..
Hopefully the D5 is coming as well, Troy Lee confirmed they were working on it on a podcast last year.
Bit different rear end on Loris' Supreme...
Looks like UDH and T-Type mech?
Pivot has moved up to the seat stay as well.
They've been flipping it up and down since the first prototypes.
They're switching between 4+2 and 6 Bars a decent amount recently. Looks like a 4+2 with a UDH compatible dropout.
You sure about that? I haven't seen a 4+2 modern Commencal Supreme. Also, we can't tell from this picture if Loris' new bike is a 4+2. The only way we'd know is if we could get a look at the BB area. If there's another link at the front of the chainstay, it's a 6 bar:
Looks the same around the BB... he's been on the seatstay pivot design for a while...
Both are 6-bars. What changing the pivot location does is change the braking (and antisquat to some degree) behaviour. That's why they flip-flop between them depending on rider preference. Maybe it's even connected to the search for compliance - the CS pivot chainstay are available in steel, the other pivot variant would require a more cumbersome steel part that would include the dropouts and brake mount.
This bike is more like a DH rig to me. Put a cascade link on and it is a 200/200mm weapon.
I'm almost certain, I think it might be their way of changing the braking characteristics a bit like how teams will mess with floating brake arms. Either that or they're testing shock leverage separate from axle path.
As I said, regardless of what they are doing, both variants are 6 bar.
Yes. The reason I call these a 4+2 is because they're working on the same principle that Knollys do. There are 6 bars in total in the suspension design, but only 4 determine axle path.
As I said, both are 6 bars. Neither is a linkage driven Horst link (what you call a 4+2 bar).
No, actually, you're right Primoz, ignore me! 😅 All 6 Bars are working towards axle path due to the push rod between the lower link and rocker, so for all intents and purposes, it's the same link, just upside down like how Forbiddens are an upside down horst link. Having messed with it in linkage and approximated the rear pivot location, I can see how this would be more appropriate for Loris since he's a lighter rider. It has the same travel but a lower initial leverage, and higher initial anti-rise.
Here's my results from messing about in Linkage. The blue is my approximation of Loris' modified version, the pink is the original.
Commencal seem to be going above and beyond to accommodate their riders!
Now I know how people feel when I’m waxing philosophical about long rear centers…
I’m guessing you meant WRP, and yes; I’m looking into it. 🤓
Oh hey, look what I found!

Antidote, makers of some of the sexiest bikes to date, entering the e-bikes market.
Not sure if that's less ugly than normal or if I'm just getting used to looking at ebikes.
More angles on the antidote: Antidote E-bike proto #2
I wonder where the idler mounts to...
They say "It will be so much more than just another e-bike". It looks great but I predict it'll just be another e-bike.
The Antidote looks really slim, own battery tech, 600Wh only or what is it?
Regarding the "much more than just another one", I guess it is the same service offerings that make all their other bikes also unique, custom paint, repaint options, ...
Bosch does not allow third party batteries so it is probably a 600w.
Weird that bikes that come with Bosch looks a bit outdated after you see the form factor of DJI equipped bikes.
Anyone else catch a glimpse of the blue Maven brakes? I am wondering if this is the next limited color way... I took a screenshot from instagram but can't seem to find them anymore...
