6/14/2024 10:59am Did you ever get a full service done on it? Mine felt the same way when I first got it, took it to Fluid Function (a rockshox service center) thinking there was something wrong with it. They did a full tear down and there was nothing wrong, but it came back feeling 100 times better. Was able to run the recommended pressure now, where before i had to go way less in order to not feel way harsh.

6/13/2024 2:45pm I think the phrase is "just because its new doesn't mean is better" Anyone have any ETA on when the 38 Grip X2 Damper upgrade might be available? its now officially "mid June"

6/12/2024 9:23am They are coming. We were hoping to have them in stock before the season got rolling, but there were some delays.

6/11/2024 11:11am Highly unlikely that margins are worse through retail. They probably need to prioritize OEM likely due to contract requirements or because they don't want to lose on volume. There's no way they have lower margin at retail though.

6/11/2024 11:03am They make more money putting them on New bikes vs selling them separate, Need to take into account shipping them around the world, Shop mark up's etc etc. better off to try get a cheap take off and retune it.

6/11/2024 10:59am New Rock Shox Vivid Coil dropping in 2 weeks. Looks pretty much the same as the current SD but it has the same internals as the Vivid Air including touchdown technology

6/11/2024 10:59am The Cotic built frame used 38.1 mm of tubes for tt/st/dt. The dt being the same one they used on their Rocket Max. This new front end was built by Adam Prosise (formerly worked for Reeb now building stuff out of his own shop under Prosise Metal Works). I would guess that he used the Velospec 44.5mm tube with a 1-.7-.9 butting or Fairing also makes a 44.5mm .9 straight gauge tube. That is the beefiest commercial available tube of reasonable weight. Next bigger option would be to internally relieve a 50.8mm 1.2mm tube on a lathe. I would expect...

6/6/2024 3:08pm Let's be honest, people are downvoting comments on Lewis brakes because their marketing/brand HQ is in China, unlike every other brake company that has its marketing/brand HQ located in the West but has its products manufactured in China.

6/5/2024 2:14pm The buttercups supposedly offer 4mm of vertical compliance. I put in the new DebonAir+ airspring, so only added the buttercups to one side. Didn't really notice much difference, but I didn't do much of a test plus it was probably around service time that it was replaced too. I remember being shocked at how little oil was left in the lowers. So yeah, not a great back to back test. Having proper amounts of oil made a noticeable difference in feel though.

6/5/2024 2:09pm They are the exact same frames. Cannondale pulled them out of a closet in Connecticut and painted them. At least they have a paint shop in America…

6/5/2024 2:07pm I just backed out of a post in the arm pump thread saying pretty much: until you can pulverize a potato in your hand, don’t worry about a degree of back sweep in your handlebars…but that’s just my personal experience, and it felt dumb to say it to dudes getting surgeries and shit…I will assume that anyone resorting to getting cut open or dealing with an existential bike crisis has indeed got their grip strength to mega levels first… but for me, it’s all grip strength. Very strong correlation betweeN how much I’ve been riding / gripping and whether I...
