8/31/2026 1:32pm Saint drivetrain with 12sp chain and no clutch, now a competing UDH standard. (incoming 13sp MTB drivetrain? *eyeroll *) Can Shimano come out with a single new product without a braindead decision? Maybe the new brake rotors but come on that's not interesting or innovative. Also does anyone give a f about Shimano's new brakes? I've yet to see them in the wild, and have seen exactly ONE wireless Shimano drivetrain. Very sad to me because I've always been a Shimano fanboy because they made simple, sensible products. I woke up one day and all of my bikes have been...

8/28/2026 1:06pm Really cool. I understood (italian is pretty good but technical stuff goes over my head) the goal is to optimize suspension performance for every phase of cornering- opening compression under braking, back to neutral/baseline while rider is neither braking nor pedaling, then stiffening compression when the crankset is under forward load to maximize forward drive. I.e. theoretically providing gains on both corner entry and exit. Proper active suspension system.

8/28/2026 1:05pm I am pretty shit on jumps and as far as I can tell in bikeparks I am far from alone. I wonder how well the system can recognise the shit "in air technique" of your average rider and distinguish it from a WC DH pro about to lose control...

8/28/2026 1:04pm I'd wager no, just because all the new stuff moved away from it, and that attachment to the cage looks the same as the dual spring jawn.

8/27/2026 9:24am And I bet that downhill bike will be the Norco team! Should good timing to release that with the World Cup just happening and hardline right around the corner and having riders and both! This is just speculation but I can’t imagine they’re being a more perfect release time for any Bike right now

8/27/2026 9:23am Not looking to put a stop to the brake discussion… but here’s a new shimano saint rumour. There’s a DH being released in about a month. When it’s released the full range of build kits won’t be available until spring of 27’ because of certain drivetrain and brake components.

8/27/2026 9:22am Ok you dingleberries. Rather than debating the merit of which way to mullet your rotors, why not just run 220 front and back?

8/25/2026 4:49pm I asked Gemini to adjust the image to not alter anything about it, just to make what seems to be there, a little more visible. Hate me if you want.

8/25/2026 11:29am I keep seeing Yeti employees up at Trestle on the DH bike. I have to wonder if it’s going to release to the public soon.

8/20/2026 2:58pm I think so yeah. I always kind of laughed at the overheating comments because I feel like riders will worry about that so heavily to write it off, then they go ride their Specialized Enduro with 18 of the 20 bearings notching and a lightly blown coil but still enjoy their ride to some degree. (Nothing against people that ride an Enduro, just jabbing at the insane number of bearings to worry about)

8/20/2026 10:48am has scott finally learnt, you can hide the shock etc but putting cables through the headset kills sales.... I wouldve owned the genius/ransom but they had to put a plastic ring with headset routing... yeah no, no plastic in headsets thanks.

8/20/2026 10:47am This sounds interesting, especially the last part about Shimano! Maybe I'm just extrapolating from my own preferences here, but I feel that most MTBers who have been in the sport for a while thought the previous-gen Bosch motors were already powerful enough, and that they'd rather have the lightest possible motor + battery package at that power level than even more power and bigger batteries.

8/20/2026 10:07am Is WR1 still made in Canada? I recently got a new rim that replaces "made in Canada" with "North American made". Stoked on the actual rim and warranty, but I'd hate to see it move production down to the reich
