6/6/2024 3:08pm Let's be honest, people are downvoting comments on Lewis brakes because their marketing/brand HQ is in China, unlike every other brake company that has its marketing/brand HQ located in the West but has its products manufactured in China.

6/5/2024 2:14pm The buttercups supposedly offer 4mm of vertical compliance. I put in the new DebonAir+ airspring, so only added the buttercups to one side. Didn't really notice much difference, but I didn't do much of a test plus it was probably around service time that it was replaced too. I remember being shocked at how little oil was left in the lowers. So yeah, not a great back to back test. Having proper amounts of oil made a noticeable difference in feel though.

6/5/2024 2:09pm They are the exact same frames. Cannondale pulled them out of a closet in Connecticut and painted them. At least they have a paint shop in America…

6/5/2024 2:07pm I just backed out of a post in the arm pump thread saying pretty much: until you can pulverize a potato in your hand, don’t worry about a degree of back sweep in your handlebars…but that’s just my personal experience, and it felt dumb to say it to dudes getting surgeries and shit…I will assume that anyone resorting to getting cut open or dealing with an existential bike crisis has indeed got their grip strength to mega levels first… but for me, it’s all grip strength. Very strong correlation betweeN how much I’ve been riding / gripping and whether I...

6/5/2024 2:03pm These will just be from last year before the release, all the pre production Mavens teams received last season were full black, with only a few exceptions on the red caliper

6/5/2024 2:02pm This. I feel as though people will open their wallet 10 times to every 1 time trying to adjust for it physiologically. Riding your bike depends quite a bit on your hands, the muscles connected to them need to have the strength and flexibility to deal with it.

5/29/2024 3:28pm I'd put more days in before you open the wallet. Early season park lapz will do that. The tendons will adjust as the season progresses

5/29/2024 3:24pm Some fresh grips for early season could be the move instead, that or some different diameter/compound grips.

5/29/2024 3:24pm Hell no. Sounds like a great way to increase risk of injury with very little benefit. I get a pro fanagling thru an injury to minimize position loss in the standings. But makes very little sense in any other situation.

5/29/2024 3:24pm Those 4pot braking calipers look exactly like OE Tektro. Wouldn’t be surprised if they are using them for mfg.

5/29/2024 10:53am Absolutely they were/are. Cam and I had a good chat about them last night and figured it would be a good chance to test them out. I'm not sure I'd be willing to order them and try them out that way, but having a shop in on the experiment helps a whole bunch. Ha ha

5/29/2024 10:52am Change of plans. Went into the shop to get Domain's, but they had a set of Lewis (yes, the sort of Trickstuff knockoffs) brakes, so I'm going to give them a try. My shop brought them in because they were curious, but wanted someone who can put them through their paces. I'm 6'4 and 120kg and a half decent rider. Will definitely be able to give them a decent go and give some good feedback, good or bad. If they're no good, we'll swap them out for Domains. For better or worse, I honestly don't care where they were made...
