10/15/2024 11:46am According to Dave Weagle they changed the name because Santa Cruz couldn’t spec them on their team bikes with the EVIL logo. Have a listen to Nigel Page’s “Stay on Your Bike” podcast with him. It’s a good listen

10/15/2024 11:46am Relating to WAO : back in the day when Evil bikes started making a chainguide and other components, they created the e.thirteen brand to separate that business from their bike line. Probably to mitigate the aftermarket issue WAO is dealing with.

10/11/2024 11:04am Im under the assumption that you do work for PUSH, and if so I want to say I appreciate you contributing to the forum. It is really cool to see the insights of companies through those that actually built or worked on developing the products. A lot more comforting too. In all honesty, Im broke and I just downgraded to a Chromag hardtail (Actually an upgrade in some aspects), but your comment alone really makes me reevaluate PUSH as a company in a good way. Not rehashing the same products as everyone else. I think thats cool. But thank you...

10/10/2024 9:53am I like how you interprete that as boxxer needing more care than fox 40, when both have comparable service intervals. Let's turn it around, what if most 40 owners cannot be bothered to service their gear? Because you know, Kashima is self lubricating 🙄

10/9/2024 4:20pm Please buy my DH fork that's been ridden super hard and never serviced. The oil seals don't leak because there's not enough oil left in the lowers to properly lubricate the bushings. If you can deflect a 35mm Boxxer to the point it's truly an issue, I'll be the first one to cheer for you on the WC circuit or at Rampage.

10/9/2024 4:10pm If I was selling a bike I'd say "XXXXXX" was rebuilt as a way to indicate it's as good as new, perceivably. Could be BS but I don't think it's related to reliability.

10/9/2024 2:58pm I’ve owned nearly every generation of Boxxer between 2004 and 2020. They’re perfectly fine for reliability. Have you ever even owned one, or are you just shitting on it because you saw a photo online? BTW, if you blow up that G-Out photo and hold up a ruler, it’s nowhere near as deflected as it looks. The number plate and decals are an optical illusion.

10/9/2024 9:21am I predict the crank market will eventually land on 150 - 165 as the accepted range. I say this as a 6'2" guy (with shitty hips) happily running 165 trailduro cranks and 160's on DH and eeb. Even the roadies are heading this direction. Skeptical? Go try and sell some used cranks in the longer lengths. Not much interest out there.

10/9/2024 9:20am I hope they get short down to at least Deore level. There is a need for good quality, afordable, short cranks. Sram has listed his SX chainset in 155mm but Im yet to find it for sale anywhere

10/8/2024 4:04pm Here we are thinking that Shimano is releasing the new Saint cranks soon. But what they are actually going to sell us is a “Saint” sticker to slap on a crank of our choice for $300. Modern Problems. Modern Solutions.
