I kind of like that they are doing this, its a great bike and it doesn't really need an update. Does that mean that the bikes should be a little cheaper especially the frame only option since the molds are long paid for?

From the Enduro Facebook group. Looks like the 2025 model will have a UDH chainstay update and that’s it.

Meh, it really depends IMO. For my riding, adding an angleset to 2017-2020ish geometry bikes (which over the last 7 years I have done many times) have improved them in every single way (downhill bikes aside). Not to oversimplify it too much, I think there's some relationship between wheelbase and head angle that on the shorter wheelbases of yesteryear, the slacker head angle was a straight upgrade for aggressive riding. On the new long wheelbases, it's not. None of this stuff is in a vacuum. EDIT: Acknowledging that it probably does help, seeing o-chains on idler equipped bikes is quite...

This is an absolutely acceptable (for me anyway) derail of the thread. I'd say we all appreciate the technical knowledge, and actual working experience in your post. Its the "Shimano is the only good brake out there, screw all others" type of opinionated garbage that most arn't interested in. Thank You

I don't want to REALLY derail this thread...but about 15 years ago I worked as an engineering consultant and ultimately spun off a small company to develop vibration based energy harvesters that were essentially tuned mass dampers. The damping was electromechanical, and tuned both with hardware and software. Our secret sauce and patent material was a mechanical means to decouple the frequency of the harvester from the input source...it could be very efficient with a wide range of input excitation frequencies. They never made much power, though...you could take a measurement or send a low power signal, but charging a...

The downvotes on perfectly normal posts started back a few months ago when some idiot made some idiotic comments and got destroyed. He's been down voting everything he reads since then.

Funnily enough, I think you should have stopped way back there somewhere too! But here we are... Anyhoo, snark aside and back to jsray's post. I can easily see a solar trickle feed being enough to run things like flight attendant or a wireless dropper. Maybe not the derailleur.... I mean the whole point of AXS was to stop having cables running thru the frame, so a cable to the electric derailleur would be kinda an odd choice yeah?

Don’t think it’s applicable to most people. Tend to bike in the woods. Commuter bikes on the other hand. I know axs and commuter don’t go together for most people but I’d imagine the market for that stuff is small regardless.

The "ass saver" style one puts the battery right in the water spray. What could go wrong? Might as well just hard wire the derailleur in to some solar cells, by which time you might as well just connect the shifter with a cable, which can work in the dark and doesn't need ridiculous charging gimmicks

Plessinger isn't on Pierron's level though, so no. Once you're a threat to win any race/championship you enter THEN you can talk about official nicknames and permanent racing numbers ect. Moto AP is awesome, but he's not on RC, or RV, or TP's level yet.
