Microspine drivers are a blight against humanity and should die in a fire along with the stupid plastic spacer they require to prevent Shimano cassettes from creaking like a haunted house. The only thing that might be worse than the microspine interface and its woefully anemic, made of cheese, lock ring might be the actual cassettes themselves which in the year of our lord 2026 still are half singe piece pinned garbage that falls apart and half stamped metal plates with spacers. I bought an EXe when they first came out and bought a second battery at the same time. Back then, you could purchase a second battery for a couple hundred dollars more than the range extender. They weren't really anticipating people doing this. You had to separately buy all the brackets to attach to the battery to attach it to the frame. I think the pricing spread has moved substantially. I feel like I can finally add input to this thread. I have just about every flavor of Maven's in my fleet and I just got the chance to try out the b1. I have a set of expert a1 (on my nomad 6), bronze a1 (on my ebike) and base that I just converted to b1's with a silver lever assembly (on my ht4 trail bike). I am also trying out a set of maven base levers with db8 calipers at the moment on a weird ultra light trail bike experiment build... but that's a story for a different...

Probably been mentioned before, but any guesses what’s up with these new Shimano rotors? Hard to tell if they’re thicker, and they look similar to the cheaper RT66 rotors Shimano currently sells. I wonder if they’re messing with tuning power via different rotors/pads? Or maybe these are a 3rd party I don’t know about.

Thicker and they will move away from 203… Mentioned that a couple of pages ago, where the whole 203 vs 200 discussion was going on. Some didn’t believe it back then some still won’t. Will probably trickle down to XTR, XT,… and solve the ridiculous lever throw. I agree that the Zeb/Super Deluxe pairing is kind of weird. But I run a Lyrik/Vivid on my trail bike, so what do I know 🤷‍♂️
