Spray with hose, quick brush off, onto the boot dryer. Embrace the patina.

Take my input with a grain of salt, but when I was looking into the best options for maximizing a shigura setup, I read that the 9100 levers and master cylinders lack the proper leverage to force a large, powerful caliper to clamp down adequately. They're made with XC racing in mind, so they lack the raw power one wants for a more heavy duty application.

Good evening everyone. Is the Saint calipers + XTR levers combo still around? I noticed that the Yeti DH team is using this combo, but pairing the Saint calipers with the XTR M9120 levers. I've always heard that in this combo we should use the M9100 levers because those don't have the servo wave. Can someone explain this to me?

Can someone explain me why Richie Rude is using the Saint calipers + XTR levers combo with the M9120 levers? I use this combo years ago, but everybody always told me that i should use the M9100 lever without servo wave. Is this combo still there? :D

Good morning. I bought some Shimano Saint brakes for my Mondraker Summum downhill bike. On my other bikes I use SRAM Maven brakes, and I'm used to the feel of the Maven levers. I have small hands and I feel that even at the minimum reach, the Saint levers are a little far from the handlebars. Is this normal with...

I asked the SRAM rep about this, they recommended removing and reinstalling clocked 180 degrees opposite and seeing if that resolves the issue. I have spoken with SRAM tech support as well, they don't have a specific millimeter runout that triggers a warranty. Usually it only becomes an issue when combined with a derailleur that has sloppy pivots. 1mm is ok, when it gets to 2+ it is hard to get the shifting working, at least with GX AXS.

There are a few things I'd look at if I were in this situation. One, I'd remove the cassette and put a tiny bit of grease on the freehub splines (if you haven't already) to be sure it's sliding all the way on smoothly. Two, I'd drip a little bit of low-viscosity lube around the edge of the cassette's integrated lockring -- sometimes on SRAM cassettes, that piece can be stiff or slightly binding within the rest of the cassette, and a little bit of lubrication can help it turn independently like it's supposed to. And three, once you're confident...

There have been a few transmission cassettes with lateral runout. I had one that had shifting issues and it was warrantied by sram through my LBS.

Hi. I was mounting a new SRAM XS1295 cassette on a wheel with a new DT Swiss 370 Hybrid hub, and I noticed that the cassette was wobbling a little at the end even with the recommended 40nm, just a milimeter or so. I have the same cassette on another wheel with a DTSwiss 240 hub and it doesn't move...

I also use the TFTuned calculator, but with the Fox one, you also get the link for the perfect Fox coil for your preferences.

Thanks. Just wondering the same thing, why Mondraker puts that coil in that bike instead of a 3.25 as recommended by Fox. With the 2.8 there are still 1.7'' space above the preload screw...

How is Fox calculator? I'm a Fox fan but I've been recommended tftuned's calculator which worked really good for me. And no, I have no connection to the company what so ever.

Mondraker is cutting it pretty close if they ship a 2.8 coil with a 70mm travel shock. Get the 3.25 coil as recommended by Fox, it has no impact on bike geometry and you won't be risking locking the coil and destroying your shock (and consequently your body) during a bottom out event with a few extra turns of preload.

Hi guys. So i bought a Mondraker Summum R MX for the races this year and it have a FOX DHX2 Performance Elite 225x70 with a 450x2.8 steel coil. I want to change to a 400lbs coil as indicated by the Fox spring calculator. My question is, this bike have a 200mm rear travel and the stock shock is a...
