I think they’re going to be called Hope techfour evo V6 and given the V i’d assume these will be the ones fitting the Vented rotors

Personally I don't bother with 4 bars. I just find one good one with cheap jugs and stay there until it's time to go home. If they serve crab then it's definitely a bonus. Gotta get messy when you're getting messy.

It appears to have a wired remote (two cables entering the right hand side of the frame) so I don't think it's DJI. The HPR60 still uses a wired remote so most likely that imo.

@Amart1500 and @bigbrett , please join me in harassing Raaw to make an XXL downcountry bike in the comments on the Pinkbike article from today. And for everyone else... I'll shut up about XXLs now. But Santa Cruz better be planning an XXL Tallboy!

So, to preface what I'm about to say is that I am not anti-e-bike and that I'm ready for the downvotes. I don’t disagree that adding a motor is a huge innovation; my point is more about where the innovation energy is going and how uneven it feels right now. When I say “analog bikes lack innovation,” I don’t mean there’s none. Things like improved materials, better tolerances, frame designs, wireless shifting, etc. are all real advancements. But compared to the explosive pace of e-bike development, it feels like the entire industry’s R&D gravity has shifted dramatically toward electrification and...

if enduro racing dies at the WC level as rumored, i could certainly see a contraction in that bike segment for non-motorized offerings

depends on the suspension design. 4 bar is nice because you can just make a couple of different seat stays that have more or less distance between axle and pivot. you don't really want to change any of the pivot locations relative to each other, but you can move the whole rear triangle forward or backward, I think this is what you're saying? I hadn't really considered the swingarm bikes (because I have never owned one or seriously looked at buying one) but now these comedically small differences between sizes makes more sense: they only have so much room to...

DJI/Avinox: My local amflow shop had some info about upcoming updates, but seemed to have specifically not been told the battery capacity. Definitely wouldn't buy an ebike right now until the full avinox/amflow refresh details come out in a few weeks. Orbea news: cool idea and tech, but if they really wanted to move the needle the tq60 with a double crown fork build would have been insane. I also think the industry is shooting itself in the foot trying to make the SL bikes more premium (i.e. expensive) than full fat builds. Now we have an ultra SL and...

Definitely, I ride to the trails (about 10 mins) in boost, get there quick smart and fresh. Knock it back to trail on the ep8 and thats plenty of assistance for me. Ride until I'm tired, grab a beer and back home on boost again. No cars involved. I swear it's faster to ride than drive around my way.
