Why? The hole is their second best feature, it makes them super comfortable and grippy. Also, fuck lewis.

I still think it’s really funny they are covering something which I can almost guarantee is a shock layout like the old Diamondback Knucklebox or a Propain. There is only so much you could package in there and whatever it is, it’s been done before and isn’t something that needs hiding.

Chatter on new designs releasing just makes people avoid buying the current models because they are waiting for the new ones to come out. The more they prolong releasing new bikes, the more other brands will scoop up that market share from the previous brand loyalists who didn't want to wait 6 years to buy their next enduro bike.

I'm willing to bet whatever is in the rockshox hump is performance based rather than a shockwiz or similar. I asked a few Sram athletes and a couple industry industry insiders informally about it. Everyone remained tight lipped other than saying things like "it really works." I was told that riding the new rockshox stuff made riding their new fox podium less exciting

Wonder if we may see a 29 front 32 rear for a medium height xc rider considering the negative rise stem and high seat post you often see on 29er set ups.

It’s from the red site, spotted article from the spring. I guess you just confirmed it as blistein. There was a coil version too, unsure about fork.

lithium ion batteries are mostly recycleable these days. those raw materials are way too lucrative to throw away. you need of course a country with a functioning recycling system (read: NOT THE USA) who isn't still using landfills...

I think Norco reducing frames goes back to what others have previously mentioned and lines up with how the new Trek Fuel is being positioned. Everyone is expecting their non-XC bikes to be able to ride anywhere (from local trails to DH) so they have to be made more robust, which increases weight, and then what is the realy difference between a short travel trail bike (like an Optic) and a long travel trail bike (like a Range)? You end up with the same brakes, wheels, tires, rear shock, and kit, with the only difference being a Pike/36 vs Zeb/38...

I was always told that if you keep finding yourself with the same problems then maybe it’s you that’s the problem. Jokes but seriously no wonder some people hate derailleurs if they go through that many, I’ve only wrecked 1 fully through an impact, others have worn out through use.

But it's modular now, you only have to replace the broken part not the whole derailleur. (Pay no attention to the fact that the individual replaceable parts are more expensive than an entire derailleur.)

Finally! A proper electronic DH rear derailleur. I've been wondering when we'd be able to pay $1500 to ruin three derailleurs on the same rock in one race weekend. Can't come fast enough.
