Alright, large hands and been a meaty paw user since day one of them. Only grips I have cared to use. Had some early protos with softer inner plastic and that was SO nice. Thankfully, they moved production ones that direction. Not quite as soft but still great. They do great wearing in and getting grippier.

That said, anyone as big of a fan but also ended up trying another large grip and enjoying them? big thing being that I ride gloveless! Recently became aware that the ODI Reflex comes in XL now- similar sized to meaty paws. The pattern feels good (buddy has some thinner ones I felt).

Just curious!

yeah, ODI Reflex XL. Id like to try the new Ergon ones that came out in a thick version.

I picked up a pair of ODI Vanquish D30s on a trip in a pinch (replaced Disisdaboss), pretty thick (32.75 diameter) and gotta say the vibration damping is not all snake oil

I love the RaceFace Chester grips for no glove riding. It's not XL girth but on the thicker, compliant side with nice thumb reliefs and ribs.

EDIT: looks like RF has both 31mm and 34mm girth. I think I'm on the 31's...

I'm super picky about grips and have a bin full of the ones I didn't like, what I landed on is Peaty's mushroom/thick. They are a bit thinner than meaty paws, about the same size as PNW XL but have what feels like more (and softer) rubber than both. The underside/finger ribs part seems to help out with grip more than a meaty paw/longneck but isn't nearly as annoying/sensory as the ODI waffle thing on the reflex

I tried the thick grip thing for a while, but it didn't end up sticking because of some arthritis in my thumb joint.  I digress, the thick grips that I liked the most were Deity supracush and trail 1 hells gate.

Simple dark horse thick grip option that I've fallen in love with this year is just cutting the core out of any old lock on grip, then sliding your favorite push on BMX grip over it. Ends up around meaty paw thickness but softer, longer lasting, cheaper to replace, and maybe more street cred?

I am also a large handed person and was running ergon thicker grips until I found the meaty paw. That has been my go to for the last few years. I tried the OneUp thick grips and hated them.

The Oury lock-ons by Lizard Skins are my favorite fat grips. They're 33mm and have an insane amount of rubber under your palm. Also last so much longer than any other grip I've ever tried.

Rode Deity Supracush for the last 3 seasons, never wanted to go back to anything else. Bought the Megattacks and didn't like them so much a first on the Slayer, so I took them off until I needed some grips on a temporary e-bike I rode. Going back to the Supracush, I felt them... slim. I like them both, not sure which one more.

I recently also put a pair of ODI Rogues on the e-bike and I like them quite a bit.

I have been riding the ESI "Extra Chunky" grips for years now. They're cheap, thick, and comfortable (at least when new). The downsides are that they don't provide as much traction as more textured options, and are a bit more work to install and remove unless you have an air compressor. I may have to try some of the other options mentioned above.

Big fan of the deity supacush, hard to go back to anything else.

I won a set of ODI normal grips and took them off after a week.

I’m a meaty paws guy but i admit I’m interested in trying the new ergons.  Though I like that meatypaws are also longer than most grips.  Great for anytime you take a hand off a Bar or if your brakes are fading and you need to change to a full grip to get something.

Typically ESI/Wolftooth silicone grips but I wear gloves because I sweat like fking crazy.
I am trying a set of thick deathgrips on my enduro bike though as getting esi/wolftooth's with the current tariff situation is straight up retarded.

I run megattacks on my trail bike and park bike with an XL glove size. I like them because they are very soft, longer than average grips, and seem to wear pretty well. I rotate them from the park bike onto the trail bike once the diamond texture fades. Feel great without gloves as well.

Used to be a Meaty Paws guy, but the last few years I've been using the Sensus Emil slip on grips. They're kind of in between a regular grip and a Meaty Paw, but also softer than a lock on grip. Slip on grips are a bit more of a faff getting on/off, but I'm a big fan.

34-35mm grips are the best thing ever. Cant even ride a bike  with skinny grips. I hate the Renthal Kevlar grips I use on my moto bike.

I also love meaty paws, but found that revgrips are better for arm fatigue on big bike park days. The revgrip rg7 (xl size) strike a good balance of ergonomic shape and suitable for large hands.

I am curious about the new ergon GDH fat. Those look quite good.

I use SQ Labs 711 in size L.  Amazing.  Also have Meaty Paws on my DH bike and they look cooler but aren’t as comfortable.

Was on Meatypaws for a few seasons but am rocking three layers of electrical tape beneath Swayze slip ons now. I'm not super OCD but that one little rib and the star pattern on the inside of the MPs kinda drove me nuts when rotating after a bit of wear. The tape is kinda neat because you get to choose your thickness, and as the grips wear in it conforms to your hand a little bit. And the Swayzes have the same uniform pattern throughout.

Used to run the ESI extra chunky but switched to Rev Grips cause they are clamp on with 34-35mm outside diameter. Sometimes I want thicker but Rev Grips works.

I was recently given a set Deity Megattacks after my meaty paws wore out and I’ve been really into them

Wolf Tooth Fat Paw lock ons or PNW XL for me. Apparently Wolf Tooth’s Mega Fat Paw is 40mm.

I tried the PNW Loam XL grips for one ride and had immediate issues with hand numbness. Not sure what the issue was -- harder rubber compound than average? -- but I sold them after that first day. Other people seem to like them, though.

Currently running Peatys Monarch on both of my mtb, one knurl and one mushroom, I quite like them. Maybe not the most comfy soft grips I've ever had (I'd say my ODI Rogues were better at that), but I really like the grip and shape

Oury push/glue on with a 1/2 cut flange to the outside. Big, cushy (no lock on plastic sleeve) and now you look like Joe Breeden.

Big fan of this grip, I wish they made it in a 34mm variant as well, but I still got along great with it.

Peaty's did a GREAT job with this one. The key to a good pattern is not making it too deep or making the ribs too soft, nothing worse than a grip with ribs that fold over each other and make the connection feel super vague. Peaty's nailed it IMO.

Deity Supracush FTW. I consistently come back to them on all my bikes, I just really like the compound and the thickness is spot on for me. They tend to wear out semi-quickly (and they don't love wet conditions once they do), but I'll take that to get the awesome comfort and grip while they last. If you need a THICK grip, you should really try the Megattack, same excellent compound in an even thicker grip.
