Wild throwback! I remember being so star struck that we were shuttling with Semenuk. He was as cool and mellow as imagined, and about twice as fast on a DH bike as expected. That day was definitely a core memory for me. I always wonder if Brandon even remembers spending a day riding some meh trails with a bunch of downhill groms that were riding way too hard to try and impress him lol

7/31/2026 8:15am I'm down to just big travel eeb and steel hardtail now. I don't regret my decision. Polar opposites in bikes but I can get my fix from either depending on the mood.

7/31/2026 8:11am A 170 with burly everything and a 120 or 130mm true trail bike with medium-weight everything. If I can have one more, it's a dirt jumper, and if I get four I'm adding a DH bike. But medium is as light as I can go. I can't have light things because I break them.

ebruner Liked a forum topic I Spent a Week in Whistler with nothing but my thoughts, here are my hot takes.
7/29/2026 8:41am I just got back from a week long trip to whistler where due to some family issues (sick pet) and friends cancelling last minute, I was mostly riding alone. I had a buddy join me for a few hours on 2 days, but other than that, I was left alone with my mediocre riding skills and my thoughts. With this much time alone, you tend to develop an inner monologue of Hot Takes... and since I had no one to share these with, I am coming here to plop them down. I also don't use social media because of a...

7/28/2026 2:37pm Agreed. Smooch it up, nerds. I created this thread to chat about e-bikes because the tech forum got sick of too much emtb talk. Now you two are having a pissing contest about nothing. Kiss and be friends or go battle it out in the emtbforums, not here.

7/24/2026 7:01am I think it's a Statement to ensure what bosch and TQ(coming soon) are going to commit to, max 750watts with speed restrictions staying within guidelines except for certain countries like NZ where bosch(trek said ok) recently allowed up to 45kmph. I'd Like to see some restrictions around Assist multiplier, Which is where the Avinox get's alot of its love, despite people saying "i love 150nm and 1500watts, its so easy" But in reality whats actually making it easier is the 800% of input - this is not talked about enough. Bosch Did the right thing IMO and limited the 600%...

7/20/2026 9:45am Yeah I wouldn't recommend that at all. Great way to ruin it. It's bad for it to be subjected to those chemicals and that heat for that period of time. Dishwashers are harsh AF. I take mine into the shower, put it on when I have shampoo in my hair, move it around a bit, get some shampoo into the straps, then rinse it all out immediately. Sounds stupid but shampoo seems to do a better job with odors than anything else, and it's the fastest/easiest way of washing it that I've found.

7/12/2026 7:28pm (Edit) the silicone 20A / 25A compound versions are ready in 32mm and 34mm now! I’ve always loved having thicker grips and have been riding diety supracush for a long time which is a 34mm diameter. I’ve recently created my own grips in an effort to have my own larger grips. Two of these listed in the link are at 36mm and I use a rubber/foam mix to make them. Been riding them all season. https://mtbairgrips.com/collections/grips If anyone wants to try them in exchange for a review lmk or you can also of course buy them. I’m currently working on...

Jason_Schroeder Liked a product review Maneuverability Before Stability | Cannondale Bad Habit Long-Ter
7/3/2026 9:15am
Cannondale’s Bad Habit is one of those bikes that sells the do-everything experience. It’s an enduro race bike. It’s an all-mountain adventure vessel. It's playful enough to rip a bike park. It’s ready to go for an all-day pedal. I generally appreciate bikes like this because if you can afford only one bike to serve most use cases, it’s often money well spent. However, striving to maximize versatility can lead to mediocrity. That’s the line bikes like the Bad Habit walk. When the bike launched , it caught my attention because it was spec'd like an enduro bike (minus...

7/2/2026 9:51pm Meybe im mistaken but i thought the latest spesh motor was a mahle. In any case, spesh are rumoured to be working with Gabao and will have a spesh branded Gabao probably next year so your theory of getting rid of current stock holds true. Gabao ecvt with software/feel developed by spesh eeb designers could be what it needs. This might be too much $ to sink into my 2019 decoy but the bike does seem to be bombproof and now could be futere proof.
