ey, we’ve finally got aluminum brake levers for you guys now 🙄😉 The Shimano brake master would probably move too little oil for our latest calipers and we haven´t tested it. And we won´t. ( We generally strongly advise against such combinations. Neither we nor others can guarantee their safe and reliable function. Such combinations have never undergone any official testing or validation.)

Dude, if you're doing 2-3 batteries in a day? Jeebus, Mary and Joseph! Impressive! We've talked about doing something like that. Strategically placing batteries (or even chargers), for the super epic rides. Turns out we're just downhillers at heart and just blast trails, rinse and repeat. We've already done the long epic trails on the regular bikes, long time ago. Now, with families, we can just ride locally, until our hearts are content, and be back in time for late lunch. Awe yeah....

I've taken all the advice here and raised the pressure a few pounds from what I ran on my Assegei and DHR. I took the bike out last night with 30 in the front, and 32 in the rear. It absolutely ripped. It felt like less rolling resistance while also MORE grip. The grip-off-jump issue was lessened but not eliminated. I'll have to experiment with other casings, or compounds / tires, as others have suggested in the comments. Thanks all, for setting me on the best path.

For the most part, batteries are 1-1.2lbs per 100wh and that rings true for the bosch lineup. The 800wh is 2.1lbs heavier and the range extender is 3.3lbs heavier... again, in line with the 1-1.2lbs per 100wh. Since the 600+250 is 850wh and the 800wh is both less wh and less packaging, it's going to weigh less. We also have steep (and long) climbs where I ride and as mentioned I do a lot of big days on the bike. 8k of elevation gain is a glass ceiling with ebikes atm from my perspective. I have a 600wh in frame battery with a 250w range extender on my bike, which makes 750w of max power. I have zero issues soft pedaling my way into 4,500' elevation gain rides in boost mode. I also do plenty of epic 7,500' elevation gain rides in mid power modes on this bike. Lamenting 600wh internal frame batteries is quite frankly lame and imo based on a desire for more power then is necessary or laziness. 200wh doesn't make or break any rides I want to do and 3lbs of weight on the bike not up high is a...

I can add a bit more being on the design team for this bike. We can do a better job at calling out the "why" in the short press release. There will be upcoming videos talking about it, but here it is from the design side of things. As bike designers we are constrained by the shape of the motor and battery. We can't change these designs. Riders are wanting bigger batteries (800wh in this bikes case). We also have great demand to fit more shocks, from inline, to the largest enduro and coil shocks.
