some got her chin
Patrice Afflatet owns AP Sports Com which has managed the "Scott Factory DH Team" for over 7 years. Traditionally it leaned towards a more French line up and staff which Dean Lucas found difficult being the token English speaker, however that was years ago and the team now has a more global roster.
Don't disregard the affect that Bucko (Ben Walker one of the unsung heroes of the mtb world who is well overdue for a podcast interview) has on everything gravity for Scott.
Agreed, Bucko is a legend for sure and even deserves some credit for sending Neko down the path he is currently on.
Ben has been making his own DH frames and parts in his basement for years, plays a key role in development with the Scott DH Team, and is a caretaker for some of the best trails in Switzerland (including the infamous Champery track). He went to college and lived in Durango some 20 years ago, and his name still routinely comes up in local conversation.
Chapeau @buckoW ! Dak is lucky to work with you. 👍
Did you even watch talladega nights ffs?
Never heard of him
I don’t know how to describe notoriously French but you know it when you see it.
IFYKYK
Accidentally getting closer to figuring it out.
The irony of pointing out tones by having a TONE...
Saskiers comments are on point. He was pointing out riders. Your second comment on the other hand did nothing to support your (correct) point.
Calling Specialized Gravity La Specialized does not make it French, let alone Frenchier than anything. The Gravity part, meaning it's run by Mr. Jack of Jack Racing (forgot the last name) is what does in fact make it French. I.e. It's a private team with specialized as a named sponsor.
Don't know about others and who the team owner specifically is (Scott, Norco, Canyon), but it can also be manufacturer owned. At least partially. But Pivot for example is very British as it's based in the UK, owned and managed (the team, not the brand) by BK.
Can we put this to bed? The initial post was obviously referring to the team's base and management, rather than the athletes.
Specialized Gravity is run by Laurent Delorme, was formerly the Lapierre Factory team and they have croissants for breakfast.
Two very minor spots but PFR off DMR Grips and Leatt, ON ODI and TLD?
Also looks like Crank Brothers wheels, previously they were using Reynolds.
Dak liked a picture of my two-stroke MX bike on Instagram, so he's good in my books.
ladies and gentleman, a typical yank and their famous geography skills
Not a fresh info as i met him a couple months ago: no official team step forward, he will probably race as a privateer with some support from various teams or a local one.
This drawn out rumble is pointless, as it seems you are looking from different perspectives.
Scott DH is owned and run by AP Sports Com. A French based Company
Specialised Gravity is owned and run by Pure Agency. A French based Company
Norco Race Div. To my understanding is owned by Norco. But I am sure The Goat has a major funding partnership.
Canyon CLLCTV. As with Norco, Factory owned. Obviously managed by Fabian B.
PIVOT Factory. Owned and run by BK out of Wales.
OrbeaFMD. Spanish Brand, English team run...
Axess Intense, US brand English owned team.
The argument of semantics gets us no where. Some of these teams will chop and change every few years. What you see on social, is different to the technical back end running the show you watch. Lets keep banter to serious topics like ear-gate...
Nukeproof Axess now...English owned team, Belgian owned brand...
Stop that Dak discussion. It has nothing to do with Ream Rumors.
Aaron Gwin on Frameworks is official. We have some cool pics from test camp and exclusive interviews with Gwin, Neko, and Aaron's mechanic, James McAllister here - https://www.vitalmtb.com/features/aaron-gwin-joins-frameworks-racing-trp-exclusive-test-camp-interviews-and-photos
#USDH
Holy shit I did NOT see that coming.
HOLY FUCK! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9XHZLH9NVaw
Gwin to Frameworks lets gooooooo!
USA Dream Team for 2026 and 2027
Aaron, Anna, Asa
As much as I and other people have joked about this, I really did not see this coming.
Merica F Yeah!
USDH royal flush. So sick. Go Frameworks!
Had to pinch myself this morning Gwin to Frameworks!
Neko clearly sticking with riders whose names start with A, for that triple-A grade DH flavor. #wheresthebeef
Neko is some kind of sorcerer.
America’s GOAT, and the hottest NKOTB racing on the same team.
LFG!!!!
Gwinner not on Fox (head) like everyone else on Frameworks, but Renen for gear?
They must be giving him some CA$H!
Does that mean Gwin no longer has a stake in Crestline or that Crestline is no longer making DH bikes (acknowledging they were already super limited) and just focusing on e-bikes? Will Gwin be training on Specialized e-bikes?
