5/27/2026 8:56am I sold my enduro bike last year fully intending to replace it for park season, but i've found myself just ripping the DH bike everywhere this season and I'm not feeling held back at all, I think my overall speed and skill has increased as a result too

5/27/2026 8:50am Positives: Saves wear and tear on your pedal bike. DH parts are more durable and stronger, generally, since lightweighting is not a design goal. Saves your body. Makes you feel like a goddamn rockstar. Downsides: Needs a service before bike park season. Your other "big" bikes suddenly feel like they descend like shit after bike park season.

5/27/2026 8:39am G10 PRJCT is rolling out world cup grade front rotor guards. Pretty sweet product for crap conditions and will protect the caliper and rotor while tailgate shuttling etc. Just picked up a Fox 40/220 rotor model and the fit/finish is great. https://www.g10prjct.com/collections/rotor-guards

5/26/2026 12:28pm Double checked my real-life measurements on drawing below - after scaling it using the bearing dimensions - and they correlate pretty closely. Part No.8 is the RH lower shock mount.

5/25/2026 9:10am It is -4% so I would consider more linear effectively. I know Craig is controversial but even he is saying not compatible with coil, with a very Craig comment in there. If you run low enough sag you can make a linear bike work with coil. www.avalanchedownhillracing.com/Bike%20set%20ups/2023%20Murmur%20Enduro… Cascade has put a decent amount of time collecting data with their Stumpy project, so at least they are coming from a point of heavy research, even if the incentives are in their favor.

5/18/2026 7:11am Damn dude! I just looked this up and at first glance Ford was the homie for doing something other than maximizing shareholder profits but then I read the next paragraph of the Wikipedia and he was doing that, in part, to squeeze out the dodge bros from using their fordbux to make their competitor brand, so that seem like he’d be a god to the Brinance types oh so smart (usually psychopathic) but then I got very bored and realized that there are no winners in that one and Chevrolets have always been cooler than Fords and/or Dodges. My dad...

5/18/2026 7:09am I think a better reason is because Ford was a nazi sympathizer. That said, we have more than likely all owned products from companies with ties to the nazis sadly.

5/18/2026 6:40am Off topic but everyone in BJJ is on juice, it’s like saying Ronnie Coleman isn’t the greatest bodybuilder cuz of PEDs. You have to assume a lot of mtb racers are on PEDs, there’s no way the testing is any good. They can’t even figure out how to route a b line.

5/4/2026 1:57pm Wouldnt that weigh an obscene amount and make the wheel weird on any speeds? My moneys on lightweight stem protection I mean, it just looks like it's a cushcore or similar foamy stuff just wedged between the spokes to protect the valve stem:

5/4/2026 1:51pm They’ve always been this way. Besides the RapidRise and Dual Control failures, they usually play things super conservative. It’s also interesting how they’ve come up with some unique standards like Centerlock that nobody wants to fully embrace. Sram has been the more innovative company for two decades now. I think it’s literally a dishonor to Shimano’s culture to admit defeat if (and when) someone else comes out with a superior idea or standard. They literally can’t adopt it, or comply with it. But they’ll be fine. They sell a LOT of fishing reels…

5/4/2026 1:49pm I sincerely hope for Shimano the 8spd cassette has 12spd spacing and the same width as existing 7spd cassettes, otherwise it'll be dead on arrival ... Unless they make it compatible only with their hubs with a new proprietary hub format, until other brands maange to get their hands on the freewheel format (remember microspline? I do) They now have a nice habbit of arriving 3-5 years too late on everything, like transmission, brakes, ebike motors, crankset length, ... wonder what's going on at the head of the company ?!

4/14/2026 12:39pm This is exactly why suspension on bikes doesn’t work! Springs don’t dissipate energy they just transfer it to the other side! /s
