dude, they gave andi kolb a 4 year contract which didn’t even last 10 months!! it’s his first year on YT. and since we now know that YT wasn’t flush with cash for at least the last 2-3 years (thx to some forum members here). it‘s really shady to kinda trick him into signing when they‘ve been standing on weak legs financially for years!

I completely agree with this. As much as I like my job, there's no way I'm paying to do it. I feel like YT could have gone about this differently. If I was a YT rider, I'd be doing what Oisin is doing, which I don't think it's hurting his future team chances.

I love what I do for work and feel privileged to be able to do it. But, if my employer wasn't paying me, I sure as sh*t wouldn't turn up for work in uniform. In fact they'd be lucky to see me at all.

Wouldn't it be in YT USAs interest to keep the mob in YT gear through the season? If they are still in "full operation" and "not affected" they should be able to shift som marketing funds? And will it be possible to purchase the team from YT if/once Flossmann buys back the company? Thinking in terms of a brand without enough points to be top 15, to get in and take ownership of contracts and all?

UCI has results from WC races on its web site going back to 2017. I took a look at the Elite results for both men and women for all the races held in the US since 2017, and found this: Number of race winners in US races: France: 4 US: 0 Number of 2nd place finishes in US races: France: 5 US: 1 [Side note: The US has 5 times the population of France.]

I can't wait. This is shades of 2019. And every rider who puts themselves between these riders is going to cause havoc. Especially if they aren't going 1-2, as they have been faltering as of late. The points margins get so much smaller down there. Jackson will need a lot of riders to finish between them. (Or in other words, he needs Loic to crash out if he finishes lower...) Chances are it will be a full on win or lose. Do or die. For Jackson. Even just going 2nd will make it tougher and tougher to expect other riders...

There are many scenarios possible. Loic has a 72-point lead, and there are 250 points on the table for the winner (there are no points given for qualifying in the final round of the World Cup, per UCI rules). The points are awarded as follows, from the winner down through the ranks: 250-210-180-160-140-125-110-95-80-75-and it keeps dropping down to the 30th place. If Jackson wins and Loic is third, Loic still takes the overall by 2 points. If Loic doesn't get ANY points at all, Jackson only needs 10th place or better. Let's say Jackson is third, he then needs Loic...

Yep, overall titles being decided by qualifying points is lame. Give the riders uci (non series) points for qualifying so the riders are more valuable for team rankings.

But in the end he also says all of the riders contracts have been/will be terminated so they are/will be free agents

The timing was all done on a Freelap chip system. It is one of the least expensive ready to go chip systems. A little bulky if you are toting it out to the trails, the transmitters are not small, but it all can fit it all into a larger 100oz hydration pack with the bladder removed. Pretty simple to use on a phone through the app. Just set the transmitters at the start and at the end, you can add a split time if additional transmitters are purchased. Everything is rechargeable and I've run it for 6+ hours without issue...
