Damn dude! I just looked this up and at first glance Ford was the homie for doing something other than maximizing shareholder profits but then I read the next paragraph of the Wikipedia and he was doing that, in part, to squeeze out the dodge bros from using their fordbux to make their competitor brand, so that seem like he’d be a god to the Brinance types oh so smart (usually psychopathic) but then I got very bored and realized that there are no winners in that one and Chevrolets have always been cooler than Fords and/or Dodges. My dad...

I think a better reason is because Ford was a nazi sympathizer. That said, we have more than likely all owned products from companies with ties to the nazis sadly.

Off topic but everyone in BJJ is on juice, it’s like saying Ronnie Coleman isn’t the greatest bodybuilder cuz of PEDs. You have to assume a lot of mtb racers are on PEDs, there’s no way the testing is any good. They can’t even figure out how to route a b line.

Wouldnt that weigh an obscene amount and make the wheel weird on any speeds? My moneys on lightweight stem protection I mean, it just looks like it's a cushcore or similar foamy stuff just wedged between the spokes to protect the valve stem:

They’ve always been this way. Besides the RapidRise and Dual Control failures, they usually play things super conservative. It’s also interesting how they’ve come up with some unique standards like Centerlock that nobody wants to fully embrace. Sram has been the more innovative company for two decades now. I think it’s literally a dishonor to Shimano’s culture to admit defeat if (and when) someone else comes out with a superior idea or standard. They literally can’t adopt it, or comply with it. But they’ll be fine. They sell a LOT of fishing reels…

I sincerely hope for Shimano the 8spd cassette has 12spd spacing and the same width as existing 7spd cassettes, otherwise it'll be dead on arrival ... Unless they make it compatible only with their hubs with a new proprietary hub format, until other brands maange to get their hands on the freewheel format (remember microspline? I do) They now have a nice habbit of arriving 3-5 years too late on everything, like transmission, brakes, ebike motors, crankset length, ... wonder what's going on at the head of the company ?!

Wyn broke himself off when he had to hit the eject button off the step down to avoid landing on hard tail guy during practice. Same guy then proceeds to almost screw up Asa's qually run. Lifetime ban for hard tail guy!

This is exactly why suspension on bikes doesn’t work! Springs don’t dissipate energy they just transfer it to the other side! /s

The V+R Racing rider lineup for 2026... TL;DR It's Raina Logar, Zanna Logar and Aletha Ostgaard! Most folks on this forum are familiar with V+R, but briefly for those who aren't, Virginia and Ryan (V+R) are two DH superfans living in the Pacific Northwest. 2026 marks our seventh season sponsoring and supporting downhill racers and our fourth season at the World Cup level. Crazy! For '26 we've re-signed Aletha Ostgaard for her fourth season with V+R Racing! Ally races for Canyon Collective. Zanna Logar has also re-signed for a second season with V+R. Zanna races for Frameworks. So cool! Maybe...
