So on the Jackson deal, rooting for him this year has been the coolest since rooting for Gwin ten years ago. I can't hate on Bruni for trying to get in his head but Goldstone responded the Canadian/midwest way and let his riding do all of his talking. Couldn't be more stoked for him, I can show his vids to friends kids when he was shredding little bikes and then blow their minds by showing him winning world Champs, it's great for the sport.

I think it's pretty easy to root for Jackson when he pulls out some insane gap in his finals run that no one else has done. Seems to be a regular occurrence

I find it hard to root against Jackson for a bunch of reasons: 1. He's obviously a generational talent on a bike. 2. He looks like he has fun every time he gets on the bike, whether it's practice, in a race or at the local dirt jumps. 3. (Maybe the most important to me) He seems to be stoked for everyone. He placed 16th in Les Gets and is reposting Ronan's winning run. He's almost always at the finish line, waiting to congratulate his competitors. He might be one of best riders on a bike, but he hypes up...

No doubt Goldstone is a nice kid but he’s far from the average mtb bro. He’s basically a factory product, groomed to a level beyond what we’ve seen in the past (no BK jokes please 😂). I think our expectations as fans and his own expectations are just so high that his first rainbow jersey and WC overall feel like a bit of a formality. What’s more exciting is the fact that he’s got the potential to be an all time record breaker. I’ll be rooting for him in 2040.

Linear forks (and shocks) work best with higher amounts of damping like an Ohlins, or Avy setup, essentially anything with more damping than a stock rockshox or Fox damper. The extra damping dissipates more energy consistently through the stroke meaning you can still run a spring with great small bump and have less bottom outs as it takes more total energy to achieve a bottom out. But also, sometime you just clap your forks, it happens, it's not the end of the world

Going from Bernard to daprela would be the worst look ever. Bernard’s stuff is a bit questionable but you kind of just got to wait and see and Jenna can make her own choices. But to go from someone with a large age gap relationship with questionable beginnings to a guy with sexual assault allegations would be wildly irresponsible in modern times. I have ADHD and my guess is that there are many people with ADHD doing gravity/adrenaline sports as for me a DH run is sure to make me fully concentrate easily which is otherwise hard work for me. There are varying views on ADHD and you can find both mainstream and not-so mainstream approaches to treating it. Either way I think it is important to confirm that you have it, easiest being getting evaluated by a doctor. I think Luca is learning the ways of Troy Brosnan. Shocked to see he is 4th overall. He is 4th overall... While his best finish so far is a 5th. That is a WILDLY consistent rider day in day out qualies to finals. In front of a LOT of dudes who have a cup win.

Am I the only one who thinks 1st place finishes should be worth more than they are currently? I get Bruni has been consistent, but Jackson dominated the last 4 rounds, he should be farther ahead in the points chase imo.

It's really the first race of the season that's kept them that close. Jackson picked up only 50 points at that race while Loic got the max - 300 points - after qualifying 1st and winning the race. It would be great if the overall came down to the final race of the season rather than being wrapped up before then. With the final race being in Mont-Sainte-Anne the crowd energy could be epic, especially if Gracey is also in position to win the overall.

I've been fretting over stuffing a Frankenstein'd wheel with 150mm spacing into a standard boost frame for the past week. Between having a bright, trustworthy industry individual tell me not to sweat +/-1(or 2) mm at the axle, and reading your comments, I feel not so worried 🤣🤣🤣
