I've sold a small handful of XTR bikes this year, and we've had a fair number of them come back with broken rings. We have near constant complaints about Shimano brakes being significantly louder than other models, and have yet to manage a consistent way to quiet them down, even after investing in a bedding machine. Shimano went proprietary for their freehub even though it was extremely obvious that they could have used HG or paid into XD. Their road 12s systems are on HG still. The new "UDH" achieves nothing. The current UDH has a shelf at the bottom...

Jackson's winning run. I'll just post a link here, rather than embedding the video, because even though it's on Youtube I expect it will get deleted. Also, the audio is horrendous. Still, if you want to see poetry in motion and you haven't seen his run, the video is apparently from the broadcast and is excellent quality. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=FqOG3G4K5Yw

And I bet that downhill bike will be the Norco team! Should good timing to release that with the World Cup just happening and hardline right around the corner and having riders and both! This is just speculation but I can’t imagine they’re being a more perfect release time for any Bike right now

I mentioned before that blasting up a fire road and hitting the 20mph cutoff on a grade that normally has me in the 3rd lowest gear (29er rear, 32t chairing front) is thrilling, and others countered that you'll nuke the battery in minutes, and that much power on singletrack is useless, and I agree. That's why I'm really excited for the HR monitor feature the 2nd gen avinox has (it modulates assistance to keep your HR in a reconfigured zone). Low assistance in tight singletrack, then crank it up on the wide open fir roads! My favorite trails tend to...

Ok you dingleberries. Rather than debating the merit of which way to mullet your rotors, why not just run 220 front and back?

I'm pretty sure I've never come across anyone wearing out pads in the front twice as quick as the rear, are you riding a penny farthing :-)

Censorship never works. That would only make people want it more. I recently tried bosch powered Scott Patron with Boost mode maxed out i.e 120nm and a 800w battery dude it's so much! The only thing that limits the bike is the 25km/h speed limit! Would love to try even more power!

had to weaponize my spectrum to chew on this nonsense. Medcalf has higher average Q1 and Q2 placings, as well as higher finals obviously. despite inconsistency, he's shown speed (and showed up to every race?) gwin has worse average placings but got in to finals twice rather than once. but experience and consistency is usually more of an overall title conversation, and not what is sought after for champs. that on top of limited WC bike time this year. i'd imagine if gwin wanted to go, he could go. and if he was not picked, that's ok too. neither option...

So maybe Markus Flossman can promise more money than Neko Mullaly. But you better take that check straight to the bank and cash it. I can see no other outcome than regret in 18 months.

Again it’s you who made and typed out those assumptions for the world to see. Again. So now 3 x the two of you have been spewing misogynistic garbage to do what? Define who is allowed to make an offhand comment in good conscience and goes out of there way to make sure said comment isn’t misread. The “if that’s a pursuit of hers” was specifically made to try to avoid the likes of someone like you doing exactly what you are doing. But I guess next time I’ll write a large disclaimer that I am in no way telling...

Finn is freshly 27. Which is why no one is talking about him retiring. Tahnee is early 30s. Which is when most mtb pros have traditional started to look at hanging it up. And again I personally think she had a lot more reasons to stick around racing a few years. Including the fact that if she wants kids she can family plan with her doctors to do it later than most women traditionally have been able to. The big 26 as you call it means women have a ton of options. And I’m personally grateful of this since my...

Why is it weird to be talking about an athlete's retirement in a rumors thread? Many female athletes retire to have children.

Medium-travel Yeti incoming. Release iminent. Long-chainstay fans rejoice: Size L has a 450mm rear center. Geometry is very middle-of-the-road otherwise, in a good way. Size L has 480mm reach. Stack could be a little taller, I guess (- 635mm for Size L).
