4/13/2025 2:31pm The "logos on the kit" argument is quite perssuasive i must say. Once again the people's champ delivering sponsorship science to the masses. Respeck. And yet, this clever hypothese opens up another can of worms. Does world Cup winner and long time TRP user ( prototype brakes included) Oisin O' Callagham not get a single dime from Tektro since he doesnt sport any TRP logos? Damm...

4/13/2025 2:30pm haha you are right and I am sorry, I didn't mean to derail the thread so much. All I really wanted to do was defend Enduro as I agree with a lot that has been said above, it's mainly a perception issue, so I am trying to shift perception and bring some positivity into the discipline. That was the reason for the Jack/Sram comment and trying to make it less about Sram pulling Enduro funding, and also the Chris Ball comment, which did not go over well, but that one I'll accept and I will keep trying with him. I'll...

4/13/2025 2:30pm I'm blown away by the engagement by world level pros on the major MTB websites in general and certainly don't want to take it for granted! There's a professional New Zealand cricketer who's known to lurk and occasionally post on Reddit, but I can't think of anything else like it in any of the sports I follow. Social media doesn't count, obviously. Edit: And I bet Jesse Melamed never expected his observations to lead to a shitshow...

4/13/2025 2:28pm I don't know, but what are the odds that Jesse's post might be based on information that he may have received directly from MoiMoi?

4/8/2025 6:47pm That’s not a Bullit. I’m sorry, but companies need to stop recycling names from bikes with vastly different use intentions. The original Bullit was a budget friendly freeride weapon that was ridden to a podium at Rampage and thrashed in the woods by countless young mountain bikers coming of age with their friends and pioneering the sport. This is a generic e-bike that will be ridden by dentists with more money than fitness or sense. I understand e-bikes are here whether people (I and many) think they should be. But it’s a bummer to see something like the Bullit name...

4/8/2025 11:18am Holy #$@^ the cascade products for the SJ15 are so fricken cool. @CascadeComponents is this compatible with both the alloy and carbon versions? Getting an alloy sj15 @ 2k + 2k for this setup at 4k is a way cooler bike then a SJ Carbon at 3,500. Either way, what a cool thing for consumers for this platform.

4/8/2025 11:17am Looooool! I saw one of those IRL and the dude paid to shuttle it to the top of Mt. Hough (CA) to ride it down a green flow trail... 🤑 The shuttle driver was rolling his eyes so hard they almost fell out of his head...

4/8/2025 11:14am Can’t class 3 ebikes legally have a throttle up to 20mph? It’s not so much the 28mph that’s the issue, it’s the can of worms you open by legalizing class 3 ebike use.

4/8/2025 8:41am I'm going to go out on a fairly sturdy limb here and say that the venn diagram of riders who buy the new Levo and use the class 3 thing to plod down the blue Flow trail at Soquel Demo near Specialized HQ (where ebikes are technically not allowed) would look awfully close to a single circle. (Disclosure: I've ridden my ebike there too, but only go there like once a year because its so vanilla.)

4/8/2025 8:40am Really wish Spesh would have just shadow funded their own version of STUnlocker not associated with their brand. I personally don't think the class 3 thing will be a huge issue outside of us nerds here but it's just unnecessary. The eSUV crowd and mountain bikers who want to derestrict their bike will find out how to do so with a Google search.

4/8/2025 8:40am I am personally very concerned about the ability for the user to toggle to class 3 and the higher speed cutoff. Specialized just opened a can of worms with access issues and ebikes being lumped in with electric motorbikes. Going to be interesting to see how this plays out.
