THIS is an appropriate piece of design then. Didn't see it on the website. More embarassing, I didn't thought about this possibility, diving all the way in all the "hate" around Ari Bikes. My bad.

Just got back from a day at Dyfi. This is the production-ready model, two were being tested by journalists in preparation for the official launch on the 12th. In person it’s absolutely striking and looks like nothing else out there. If the frame only price is reasonable then I’ve never been more tempted by a bike. (If anyone from Atherton bikes wants me to remove the photo I’m happy to, but as it’s been seen by upwards of 100 people today I’m sure it’s fine).

Jenson and other retailers seem to want to get rid of current-gen stuff pretty badly. I wonder if they plan on throwing the current GRIP2, or some amalgamation of it, into the MZ stuff. Also will be interesting to see if they will update the current performance/GRIP lineup with a new damper. Praying for a slightly lighter coil sprung MZ...

I'm picturing one guy alone in an dark cold warehouse putting together the remaining 370 Nukeproof bikes, holding onto that last flicker of hope.

It may seem uninteresting probably because you're missing it has adjustable CS length, BB height, and head tube angle, almost completely independent of each other. Mullet/29er compatible, adjustable leverage ratio through included shock mounts, 148 rear dropout for more wheel compatibility, and ZS56 | ZS56 head tube for angle and reach adjust. It's also already won Proving Grounds last year and best trick at Darkest this year. There's a lot going on with this bike when you dig in a bit deeper.

Interesting to hear your take on the RSC’s vs the Stealths, I thought they were supposed to be identical minus the cable angle. I’m assuming that that the setup was comparable in terms of bleed quality, rotor size/thickness, and pad compound. Not trying to say your experience is incorrect, just curious to hear if there’s really a physical difference. Would...

Definitely going to take a look at them. Hard to say what all will really be possible until can see what the pad retract numbers are. There are some specific things I want to try that could work out quite well knock on wood.

MTB hydraulic brakes are a sensitive and complex system. I don’t think we give them enough credit for what they do, and how well they do it. But you’re going to lose me when you admit that “probably yes” you shouldn’t have “skipped a step” during install/setup.

The other part of the equation is master cylinder piston diameter. The smaller it is the more leverage it has over the pistons in the caliper. Think of it like you had interchangeable dropouts on your bike and you added 100mm to the rear end of your bike, that’s going to increase the leverage on the shock. The lower the amount of fluid moved for the same amount of piston movement/lever movement the more hydraulic leverage the master has. Hayes use a 9mm bore in the dominions (as far as I know) which is why they have very high hydraulic...
