All this leads me to believe they'll release an alloy budget version like they did with the Epic and Chisel full squish that works with cable drivetrains. Hopefully it's mullet compatible (not restricted to S1/S2) otherwise those are two massive misses compared to the Evo. Other option to fill the gap between new stumpy and enduro might be a revamped Status 160?

Sorry for wording it badly, of course RSC s have bearings. But they are not the performance differentiatior. This is where the swing link is the factor between the two. I must admit I very much like Code RSCs (to be honest I did like Lewis Ultimates better, but not 500+ eur better), but every Code R that I touched is, well... Garbage. The lever feel is completely different. Might be the bushings. But I'm fairly certain it's the swing link as I did used to run Guide RS brakes that had both bushings and the swing link.

Thank You, My thoughts exactly. We could all use a little headed thinking, and the realization that we are all different, ride different, on different terrain, with different abilities, on different bikes, and have different needs/wants. We live in a wonderful time, with amazing choices, that all work really well

The difference in Codes (R vs. RSC) is in the swing link, not the bearing.

Is there anything under the sun that you don't consider garbage?

Danny Mac putting the new Gustav Pro to the test (sponsored athlete content, obviously, but still good to see the brakes in action):

It works but the adjustment is rather small as there are only 3 usable turns after which it no longer does anything

a couple of pages earlier there is a nifty trick on how to work against deadstroke on dominions. this little grub screw works for fine tuning afterwards. love it.

About your tube-in-tube routing question: I had good luck sanding the outer part of the hose to achieve a taper. You will be cutting that bit off anyways after routing. It cleared a Specialized Stumpjumper EVO internal routing fine after that. Like this

Got a question for you Hayes A4/2 users out there. Wondering what's up with the bite point/pad contact adjustment dial on the back side of the lever blade. Hayes's website doesn't say there's any way to adjust bite point/pad contact yet the review from The Loam Wolf mentions it can be adjusted via the dial in question. If it does...

I noticed that to on the weight advantage of this V3 post. I just built up a XC XL Blur TR with a V3 210mm and still came in at 26lbs.

Dropper post length and insertion depth is one of the most underappreciated spec choices especially for use shorter riders. I'm 5'8" on a good day with short appendages so the ability to swap from a 150 AXS to 210 Oneup and still have a lower compressed stack height was an absolute game-changer on my newest rig. Insane that it's still 60 grams lighter than Fox's "ultralight option". Oneup stuff is great quality, solidly priced, and most importantly the most compact option on the market.

Is clothing technology permitted in this tech thread? Or does it have to be rumor related as well? Because I'm a stinky guy, but man this morning I just got back from a 3000+ vert ride in the sun and I sweated like Fauci at a Senate hearing but when I got home my wife commented how my merino wool jersey (51%, $25 on sale at EVO) had 0 BO smell. This isn't the first time this miracle has manifested. Also, I feel it is excellent in the cold (sub 55 degrees) and heat as well.

New Warden for sure. I wouldn't be surprised t see a little more change from the previous version than we've seen on the other gen. 6 frames.

Just to bring it back to tech rumors. I saw knolly post a story about a new bike coming on the 26th. Looks like it might be a mullet with longer travel. Any guesses what? New Warden?
