My only complaint about my 2 rear DT's is that I regularly goon them by banging a new tire to re-distribute new sealant on my deck rail and send the cassette/guts flying.

To preface this comment, I do count my clicks from closed. That said, I do think it makes more sense to count from open. You would think that the most uninhibited setting would be where you would want to start, but that's just my two cents.

Don't be sad. I struggle to wrap my head around inflation too. Sometimes I find it helpful to recalibrate like this: Adjusted for inflation the MSRP of a 2012 Sworks Stumpjumper FSR would be $2,494.63 more than the MSRP of a 2024 Sworks Stumpjumper FSR. Adjusted for inflation the MSRP of the most affordable 2012 FSR would be $748.51 more than the MSRP of their most affordable 2024 full suspension. i.e. prices have actually fallen, over 20%; while bikes have certainly improved, significantly. There are still big innovations like what I'm doing, or Lal, Trust, or ebikes; and there were...

I think the advantage would be that you would then add more dropper post travel either by installing a new post or simply adjusting the shims on certain models like the Oneup or PNW dropper ranges

I love gold the look of it the taste of it the smell of it the texture. I love gold so much that I even lost my genitalia in an unfortunate schmelting accident.

7005 (or 7020, the EU equivalent of 7005) can, 7075 for all intents and purposes no. A higher ultimate strength limit will also make it more fatigue resistant. Stiffness wise it's basically no difference between the two. For brazing you need enough surface area for the two parts to be joined, so you might as well glue the tubes in the lugs and be done with it. 7005 also needs to be heat treated, but it's cooled in air, 6000 series needs to be cooled in oil and thus requires a more complex heat treatment equipment. 6000 is more easily...

We've seen Mr Bomba back on DH sled, took part in the first Portugal cup. Could this have something to do with Daprela leaving and Borges officially on E-EDR? Dante getting bumped back to factory spot, Bomba to Dainese DH as well as E-EDR when possible? Would be fun to see him and Moir in some DH race.

I would say this really depends on your weight, riding style, and terrain. I have ridden 170mm 36's/Lyrik's on a couple of enduro bikes (2016 Trek Slash and 2022 Knolly Chilcotin 167) and have rarely felt held back as a 150-160 lb rider. I will say the front end tends to have a "light" or "vague" feeling on especially fast...

The whole lighter helmets leading to lessened force on impact was never something I thought about before listening to a podcast (I think it was PCool with the Kali Protectives CEO a while back. It makes a lot of sense when you think about it though, not to mention I hate riding in heavy full faces. I don't know if...
