If you think a World Cup team like FMD are going to risk an entire season on some old prototype frames from canyon or specialized you have been smoking that crack again.

I don’t believe Canyon are hurting much. They have a stacked field of roadies who are several times more expensive then anyone in MTB. Might just be a change of strategy to focus on a few big names, similar like YT did a while ago

Top road cycling teams have a budget in 50-60 M region. One such team could run the whole UCI DH circus. 30 M for, say, SC, Trek, Spez and Muc-Off, 30 M for the rest.

I know a couple Junior riders who spent years on the circuit around B-Kiddy and he seems to be the most hated rider out there and it’s not really close. Obviously I don’t know him personally but judging by the general sentiment towards him and the fact that he’s dating his employee w an age gap that wide, it’s probably safe to say he’s a mega questionable dude.

I could care less. But dating a girl who was 17 when she joined your team shortly after she becomes legal, while she still is a part of the team, is pretty questionable and wouldn’t fly in a lot of businesses. Hell plenty of companies would not let you date an employee as a manager if they were 10 years older than you. The age gap just increases the power imbalance. Ultimately if they are happy and stay happy good for them. But there are a lot of young women who get used by irresponsible men making false promises who...

75k to get a spot on a factory team is nothing. Hundreds of families in the US every year put a second mortgage on their house for their kids to get 10th place at lorettas super mini class. Don't even get me started with ski racing. People send kids to "academy" that costs 100k a year. Then like have a 1% chance of being on a national team. Then make 20 dollars a year unless they are attractive enough for a Rolex or Visa sponsorship.

So the cameras were out for qualis, all runs recorded, Tahnee and Rob on the commentary, timing running and we didn't get to watch it? And no negative comments flooding social media platforms? Wow! If only WB/Disco had the public by the balls like RB do

Now, I know it doesn't align with the macho-hype-adrenaline content that RedBull puts out, but can we get crazy skinnies in Hardline? That hip over the creek surely doesn't work, but what if it was a sweet skinny? I know it's not the UK's style, and sure my BC-ism is showing through, but I think it would look so cool, and really test the rider's abilities to control speed at race pace (which is more or less the point of Hardline. Jumps test your ability to gauge speed when the trail doesn't have a "trail speed" because it's a race...

I am just baffled, as Spomer and Jason said I believe, that you basically have a distance that seems about the exact distance of the standardized mega ramp for X Games. You have the backing of Red Bull. And therefore the backing of basically anyone including Travis Pastrana and his Nitro Circus crew and builders. You have as far as I can see every resource you could possibly want for this specific scenario... And you eye ball it? You just draw it on a napkin and call it a day? I'm guessing the big obstacle was, as you build the...

A couple of points I haven't seen brought up. 1. There is zero margin for error on the run in of that jump. What happens when it's muddy and someone slides out at the bottom of the run in and goes off the side of the ramp? That's looks to be substantially higher than the gap is wide? 2. This is for sure a feature that gets shut down by a stiff breeze. There doesn't look to be an alternative route. Is this feature the reason Hardline gets cancelled this year? Big jumps make it more likely that weather causes...
