10/19/2025 9:40pm Thanks for the sumup iceman. I had to stop watching after Adolfs crash and turned the broadcast off. For me I think that was the last time I watched it. At some point soneone will push it over the edge.

10/18/2025 12:56pm I disagree. I don't think after months and months of testing we would have uncovered more about the bikes that would offset the extra time/cost we'd have put in. To be clear, this was not a scientific test. Also, I'm not sure what kinda budget you think we got over here but it does not include months of testing in a bike park. The goal was to put down a timed run on a familiar track after we had each bike setup and feeling comfortable to see how times compared against how we felt on the bikes. And to help...

10/16/2025 7:16am Now that I take a closer look at it you guys are definitely right about it being a Nomad. Realistically he probably snapped his Warden and is waiting on a replacement, that guy goes through frames like you wouldn’t believe.

10/14/2025 3:28pm TRIGGER WARNING: OFF TOPIC I mean this actually isn't a bad idea for high-end bikes for parts like tires, pedals, saddles, grips, etc. At the beginner level who cares, but hard to think of anything more personal on a bike than the saddle shape.

10/14/2025 3:25pm Last year I rode all season on a Mazza Race upfront which is probably around 1.4kg and while that looks like a beast, the amount of grip it offered, I never ever told myself at the end of the trail "I wish I had a lighter tires"... all I said was "damn, that was fast" while constantly beating my times and having more fun by simply going faster. Im all for nerding the things out, but sometimes those 200grams or so that might feel like a big difference are not what one should be focusing on.

10/14/2025 2:08pm Okay, thanks. But what about the position of his arms in the left side of the photo. Clearly making the shape of the letter S? Now that might be worth considering. If I could only think of some word that starts with S....

10/14/2025 10:42am Tried lots of Shimano brakes, all the same issues. The wandering bite point is the biggest one for me. When temps drop below freezing, if you pull the lever twice in quick succession, it'll grab at a different point. My experience is every set of Shimano brakes I've ever gotten on does this, but the people who don't experience it use a different braking technique than those that do. If you are on/off quickly a lot, then you'll notice it, if you tend to make longer single pull drags or have longer gaps between braking, you won't notice it. I've...

10/13/2025 11:04am Not to mention Jack Moir, whose popularity seems to be almost single-handedly keeping EDR alive and who can still win races. I think silly season might have just got a lot sillier.

10/8/2025 2:07pm In my mind shimano brakes are synonymous with “brakes that might suddenly decide to bite 5-10mm closer to the handlebar” I have 8120’s on my Sentinel and they’re being replaced with GR4’s once I pick them up from the LBS tonight.

10/8/2025 9:32am Let's be real though, lots of high end sales involve carbon wheels, and lots of people go after them thinking carbon wheels will make them better but they still ride blue flow trails and the wheel are being extremely under ridden, as well as road bikes. The amount of people smashing carbon rims multiple times vs the number of people that they'll last forever due to their riding level, is hugely Sku's to the rich blue trail riders that are more likely to have a blown up freehub body than a damaged rim. I've been pounding on a set of...
