11/5/2025 8:39am Haha agreed about the SRAM levers man. They're allergic to giving them any sort of grip. Outside of the wandering bite point, how did you like the base's? Heard they're much less "bitey" than the BRZ/Silver/Ult but how do they compare to the Dominions bite?

11/5/2025 8:36am I’ve got Maven Base and Dominions. Not a lot of difference in power but the Dominion lever point doesn’t wander in and out as much. I like the Dominions better. The stupid Maven levers are slick like ice. Actually had my finger slip off on a steep turn and broke my face something good. I had to put grip tape on the levers. Looking forward to putting the Dominions on this newer bike once I have a chance.

11/4/2025 2:36pm I've got a 30.9 post in my 34.9 Sight and it hasn't slipped yet. It does start to creak every couple of months after enough muddy water washes down between the shim and post and takes out all the grease. Slightly annoying, but it's a 3-minute fix when I do my quarterly teardown (cries in PNW winter).

11/4/2025 2:11pm fwiw, adam (the "money guy backer") was at the venue every day moving lumber, signs, cords, spray paint, dirt, tools, boxes etc. he was covered in dirt like all the crew, in addition to hosting riders for meals and gatherings at his home. he was anything but hands-off.

11/4/2025 2:08pm We also don't have any idea whether or not that's all Yeti is contributing. Just because they made that public doesn't mean that's the extent of it. Same with Monster. Everyone is demanding to know how they're helping out. Red Bull doesn't post how much they spend on athlete injury expenses/rehab/etc when someone like Jackson or Finn or Gee or Emil gets injured, but obviously they continue helping out. Why is everyone automatically assuming Monster doesn't do the same?

11/4/2025 2:06pm V+R Racing is just two mere peasants (well, a nurse and a medical device engineer). When we started out in 2019 the two of us were just buying DH bikes for junior riders who needed them. Many seasons and many riders later, we had two world cup DH juniors in '25 with one finishing second overall and the other finishing 10th overall. We obviously can't afford our own team, but we can still be a hat/helmet sponsor. I'm still driving my 16 year old car - it just comes down to priorities for us. And we're proof it doesn't have...

11/4/2025 1:50pm Tippie was in NWA quite a bit over the last couple of years as part of YT events. Everything said on that writeup is true. He's unflagging in his positivity and stoke. He includes everyone and interact with everyone from the kookiest kid to the most seasoned pro. He's almost uncomfortably positive and full of stoke at times, but a brand really couldn't ask for a better ambassador. I hope he lands somewhere. Dude is a legend, and his story of climbing out of the dark depths of addiction is inspirational.

11/4/2025 9:47am Depending on the exact configuration, I'd say about halfway between a Code and Maven. Obviously, way lighter lever feel and more aggressive bite though.

11/4/2025 9:44am Isn't the general consensus that Dominions are a smidge more powerful than Codes, but not at the level of the new, powerful stuff?
