Do aero fairings on downhill bikes really make sense? Considering that on road bikes, 80-85% of aero drag comes from the rider. On the bike, a large part of the aero drag are the wheels, where we have large and knobby tires, so how effective deep rim aero wheels would be needs to be tested. Considering the issues with cross-wind stability on these deep wheels, it could be outright dangerous to go over larger jumps at any kind of side winds with them. As far as I can tell, they've been selling well. Specialized may have produced a smaller first couple of runs on them, considering the state of bike sales.

I find the continental to be one of the more stiff casings. I'm a serial tire burper in corners, it's one of the few that keeps the sealant and air inside the tire. The radials feel very disconnected in comparison. Great on tech, but a bit weird in mach chicken corners.

I am not one to dis someone but that guy is sooooo annoying announcing DH. He seems perfect for the pits and maybe in corral post race but commentating he is super in accurate with what he is saying - ____ ALMOST OUT THE FRONT DOOR every 3rd rider. The nonsense that dribbles out of him is just an embarrassment. It's gotta be crazy hard but they need to replace him. Rewatching all the races from 2025 and if my wife is the room I have to put headphones so she doesnt have listen to him!

Seem is the key word here... It's just a matter of understanding the quickest way to find a solution.. Making frames and swingarms takes a good amount of time, resources, and money. A bolt on dropout is a quick way to figure out the next step..

Pumped up too much after a long descent. Even weirder : adjusting the contact the normal way with the small T9 torx would "reset" the lever. Meaning that turning the contact adjuster one way then the other back to the same initial position would somehow restore some lever throw... before pumping up again on the next long descent. Really...
