10/21/2025 7:44am Great to hear! The new back end is actually being tested this week by new team riders in a secret location...This picture was taken last week at the Belgian Cycling Factory, this is Dale McMullen (Nukeproof Lead Engineer) and Steve Jamison (Nukeproof Product Manager) discussing the new back end with a new rider (you can just see his foot)!

10/20/2025 11:28pm I also want to say big respect to Reed Boggs for dealing with a frustrating situation yesterday with wisdom and class. It's got to be tough standing at the top, knowing that you have a good chance of dropping in and potentially winning the whole thing (or at least placing top 3), choosing discretion over valor, and then congratulating the winner as you choose to step away from the start gate.

10/20/2025 11:28pm The Monday Morning Quarterback session has become as much a part of Red Bull Rampage as the event itself. It’s the collective catharsis we all need after something that feels less like a sports competition and more like modern-day gladiators in the desert. We’ll justify it, theorize ways to make it safer, and question the ethics, but the event will (probably) keep going. As long as the athletes want to ride, the fans want to watch, and Red Bull is willing to provide the infrastructure/distribution, it’ll continue. And deep down, we all know what’s likely to happen someday. Like @Buckets...

10/20/2025 11:27pm First and above all else, my thoughts are with Adolf and his family. That was the most grotesque crash I have ever seen. Background: I competed on the Freeskiing World Tour from 2001-2009. In the span from ~03 to 2011, three individuals died competing including one person in Alaska at an event that I was at, waiting up top to drop on my run. That experience has had lasting repercussions on my life. There are still big mountain freeskiing contests and people are still risking it all at these events. I still watch them. Rampage Take: There is something fundamentally...

10/20/2025 2:47pm Hi all, I'm the 'Gosling' being referenced in the Bikeradar article. I had meetings in Les gets with five teams, YT being one and I'll start by saying that Gunnar Franke (Team Manager) is one of the best guys in the pits running a great team with awesome riders and staff. However we (Nukeproof) don't have the budget to go from 'no team' to one of the best, and highest budget teams in the pits when today we are not even selling any bikes. I also feel that we are not the type of brand that wants or needs one...

10/20/2025 7:04am If there's one thing I know about readers and viewers today, it's that they are CRAVING more AI-generated content. Not getting enough of it yet. Can't get enough. Foaming at the mouth for more AI-generated content, in fact. Gobbling it up.

10/18/2025 2:17pm To me, it seems like an obvious PR move and show of good faith to say hey if you ordered a Pole and never got it we’ll hook you up with a bike. How else will you convince people to give you their money again?

10/15/2025 11:37am With Reynolds and I9 both doing similar things as far handling warranty for CSS made wheels, it kinda goes back to earlier comments regarding warranty as a marketing tool.. Next up, someone throws out there, break any brand of carbon wheel and we'll sell you a discounted replacement.. Race to the bottom? In other news, a friend was telling me yesterday that we may be hearing Haro related news by the end of the month..

10/7/2025 9:53pm The Avinox is clearly a nice unit, but I view the Bosch as much quieter (only motor that disconnects when freewheeling), free-er pedaling when power is off, has built in bash ring protection where-as the DJI motors need the 245 gram E13 bash ring, has better weight distribution, more service options and importantly more efficient. There are also some that feel the torque sensing is lacking on the DJI. It would appear that the DJI is about 20% less efficient than the Bosch, even when power is equalized. That means on a meters climbed per watt, the Bosch is actually...

10/6/2025 7:30am Yeah if you can’t honor your contracts you probably should be banned for a period of time. Nobody but yt is to blame for all of their problems. I tend to doubt Marcus will be in the position to relaunch the mob anytime soon anyways. But any league should try to get rid of sponsors who have proven to both been financially irresponsible and act in bad faith towards their riders.

10/4/2025 10:02am Yt paid team fees to ESo or UCi to enter this year. It would be a nice gesture to give that money back to the Mob riders if they are owed portion of their contract. Riders definitely need a better union because these big bike companies have too much leverage and face no accountability. YT should be banned from world cups for 5 years

10/4/2025 3:10am This isn’t YT’s first time pulling the plug on a race team and not giving any notice. Ask Gwin about that. And according to the team manager in the video, they found out the same day the press release went out to Pinkbike, Vital etc. They all stated they aren’t getting paid anymore and are funding themselves for the final races. I can see why some of them choose not to represent YT on their jerseys.

10/4/2025 3:09am When you are paying your own way to the races and supporting yourself why would you promote a brand not helping you? They are still riding that frame. How did YT spoil them? By paying them a salary? Kolb said in the interview that he had higher paying offers and went on YT for the long term. That didn’t happen so why promote them?

9/30/2025 3:33am That’s the DAMN truth. But you’re not a sociopath. Flossmann seems like the kind of guy who’d absolutely balk at releasing these riders.

9/28/2025 10:04pm Looking forward to the discussion on this. The public history tells the story of a founder cashing out at the peak of the boom, retaking the reins when things got rough, failing to make the necessary changes to the business, and ultimately having to declare bankruptcy. How do you hire Kolb mere months before going bankrupt? How do you run a flash sale mere days before your investor pulls any future financing? Decisions like those indicate a management team that did not understand the state of the business they were running or the market conditions they were operating under. Or...

9/27/2025 12:43pm In fairness to our Kona guys, perception matters and when you intentionally and unironically create the online persona of a rich asshole, that's going to alter the flavour of your subsequent acts. The kona guys didn't do that so their "return to grassroots" takeover of the brand just has a different feel.
