7/17/2025 9:01am I am 100% on the Manitou fork cult member list. I have a mezzer pro and in my opinion it is the best non usd fork a person can buy. It always feels composed. Its so easy to adjust I am constantly ride to ride making little changes based on how I'm feeling and what im riding. Smooth jumpy rides, no issue I tweak for that. Going to ride lots of chattery rough terrain, I soften it up and linear out my settings a hair with the IRT. The HBO in a fork can not be understated too. I've taken...

7/16/2025 10:45pm I have an Expert vs. pro, but enjoyed reading up on long-term Pro version. The Expert is hardly shabby though, and this is my goto fork over a Lyrik and a 38. I have run it from 140 to 180 travel as well. Easy to service in all regards. Just curious if having the IRT & air on top is really (Pro) is worth the extra tuning & time though? I've ridden the literally hell outta the Expert at bike parks and rowdy (western NC) nat-forest downhills, and I feel like I'm getting all the plush out of this thing...

7/16/2025 3:02pm Customer service suicide with sending out that email. So bro, no bike, no refund. Good lucking earning back any goodwill after that.

7/4/2025 12:44am These builds always perplex me. "Yeah, I definitely need a carbon frame on my DH bike... but the base model Boxxer and Vivid, and the MT520 brakes should be fine, right?"

5/26/2025 11:52pm Here's my million dollar question about the recent batch of inverted single crown forks: Why? Honestly, why would this be superior to a modern RSU single crown fork? They're heavier and flexier in torsion, right? I know that inverted seals stay lubricated better, but other than that, what's the value proposition? Is the sales pitch "engineered compliance?" Or do they offer better front-to-back stiffness under braking than a single crown RSU fork? The best reason I can think of isn't related to the customer, but to the production side of things, that smaller firms can do their own thing without...

5/26/2025 11:52am They're just copying srams retarded decision to tuck the hoses up against the bars as though we're all roadies that are going to integrate them into our bars and headsets. I thought we'd effectively communicated to manufacturers that we didn't want that shit but Shimano is late to the party and has misread their customers once again. So now we get more cable rub and noise from both the major brands, unless you're a weirdo who buys Scott I guess. Gives everyone else a little more motivation to explore other options.

5/23/2025 11:59am Good question. Slight tangent, but I’ve been toying with the idea of launching a monthly podcast where I unpack stuff like this. I didn’t think people would care, but when you break it down in a way that maps to our world, it actually seems to land. And honestly, it’s way easier for me to riff on this in audio form than hammer it out on a keyboard. Anyway, I read through the last few pages of comments, good to see Revel back from the dead, by the way. I’ll probably share more thoughts on that later (maybe). For now...

5/23/2025 10:23am RAAW is sufficiently more expensive and for me personally it has different aesthetic. Raaw looks more angular and almost kinda boring to me, while Slacker is more like a modern Kona from the times I dreamed about being in a NWD movie :D Props to both brands though!

5/23/2025 4:33am Airdrop dropped new batch of their bikes in limited-edition Stealthy look. I expected it to pop up here or on PB, but nothing so far. They probably (and hopefully) will sell them anyways. Thanks lord the Slacker is still not available in MX, I’d have a tough conversation with my wife. Edit: one can’t upload pics from mobile here, am...

5/21/2025 10:59pm The name of the game for EU brands is Ebikes. And when you have a Shimano equipped bike and no Bosch gen5 models you are pretty much dead.

5/9/2025 7:29am We really, really need to bring the hammer down on this IP theft. Not only are they stealing ideas and patents from people who have spent good r&d money on developing their ideas, they haven't done the r&d, so there's far less understanding of the decisions that led to the original design. It's wholly unsafe and not to be mistaken for simply reverse engineering existing components. I don't understand why they can't just make new stuff???
