haha you are right and I am sorry, I didn't mean to derail the thread so much. All I really wanted to do was defend Enduro as I agree with a lot that has been said above, it's mainly a perception issue, so I am trying to shift perception and bring some positivity into the discipline. Hi Luis, Super interesting post, thanks so much for sharing your knowledge. I wonder what’s your opinion on ShockWiz device. Would it be beneficial for an experienced rider who doesn’t understand a thing in kinematics, have lots of enthusiasm, and not much budget? Asking for a friend :D

One has to wonder at the impact of brands like Specialized having nearly their entire catalog on blowout pricing for the last 2 years has had on some of these small to medium size players and their ability to survive. Id have to guess it is notable but hard to quantify. If you're positioned in a semi-premium space selling frames and complete bikes, but a bunch of your fringe competition has their bikes/frames long term discount priced at $1-4k less what they used to be, that really changes the marketplace dynamics. STFU guides. They actually work. They also help with the mythical pedal kickback. External cables with proper guides/clamps. Lastly a silent rear hub. But none of it really matters when you ride solo with earbuds in 90% of the time.

I can't figure out why anyone making an inverted fork in 2025, especially a single crown inverted fork, wouldn't use the Manitou hex axle to add torsional stiffness. The patent is expired and it adds almost no weight. I imagine a 15mm hex axle is significantly stiffer in torsion than a round 20mm axle, and doesn't require a new front hub. Especially if you're already doing pinch bolts, you can do it the way the Dorado has been doing it since 2002? It's so simple! +1 on the horse issue. They’re literally the single most destructive/disruptive user group I can think of (post holing and eroding everything they touch, shitting everywhere, easily scared, etc.) but they get minimal flack as far as I know because the user group is mainly rich old heads that have more influence over public land use in most places. I also think a lot of these issues would be alleviated if local govt/land managers would allow/invest in more mtb specific trails and infrastructure. Hikers/walkers/runners generally don't expect anyone else to be on the trail when they are, regardless of speed. Runners in particular can get incredibly upset if they have to adjust their pace for whatever reason. Whenever I'm on my bike and I meet other users (except bikes
