YT Yuge Theft

Jimmy: " Why was a new entity created on July 11, when the insolvency didn’t happen till after? Why wasn’t it done in your name? Asking on behalf of honest hard working people." "I was a US employee for the last 3 years, as were many on here asking valid questions. The level of transparency around this topic over the last 6 months from global has been slim to none, outside of preaching “Business as usual” for us here in the states. I went to rampage to support YT’s global athletes, only to come home to the news of us...

Jimmy Astleford (@jimi_sendricks), former US Marketing Director for YT USA and an all around great guy, is going scorched earth in the comments of Markus's "AMA" video on the YT Industries instagram post.

dude always needs to be in the limelight.

Rofl fuck ever buying a YT now. I'm good.

BK & Daprela on Pivot.

The current gen specialized enduro is 7 years old. So next year I won't be able to find a shop willing to true my wheel?

How many DH bikes do you have to sell for the UCI to deem it a production bike? Do you just have to have a frame for sale? Specialized didn't ride a production bike for 3 years, does the UCI even enforce the rule?

Lou and the team announced she signed with intense for the future mid season this year. She’s not going anywhere. Could be pheobe gale? Or just made up shit. That queenstown guy is a bit of a fisherman

There are so many fast racers you could sponsor. There is only ONE Tippie in the whole word

NP guy says...and World Cups...it's coming together.

Bike looks great, well done Evil. When does the new DH bike drop!? 🤘😵

It’s funny to me, because the very thing on that thread that people were lambasting YT and Canyon for is the thing that I find exciting: bikes that perform well and represent a good value proposition. Fancy magical linkages, outlier kinematics, adjustable geometry, bleeding edge race tech… overrated. Give me a bike with surprisingly good component specs that works well for its intended use case at a good price point. I’m getting a little turned on just typing that. EXCITING!

For a guy like Maples with multiple offers I’d imagine he has the option to try bikes. I’m sure most of the offers are in a similar financial ballpark so after that, it comes down to the bike that you’re gonna get along with best. Something about the idea of Maples on PFR (not the bike) doesn’t vibe well for me. It was mentioned in the pinkbike article that Neko has had people test the frameworks, so might not be uncommon. I’ve also wondered this before, but how much does the bike matter to pros? Like, could Jackson or Bruni...

yeah it's funny how as we age our interest change too. My whole youth was racing DH, Supercross and motocross. Golf and Baseball were far from interesting. Now I've had a couple of kids, a massive mortgage and half a head of grey hair my interest have shifted to the old man stuff, lawn care, golf, watching sport and drinking beer alone lol. Riding bikes will always remain, it's more the social aspect of it now. My appreciation for what people enjoy is broadened. My tolerance for dickheads and fake people has decreased. I am officially old.

I like bulldog, awesome rider and his comeback was inspiring. With that said, he has openly criticized multiple bike brands that he has ridden for. If I was a marketing manager for a bike company I would be reluctant to sign him with worries he would bash the bikes, calling them trash etc.

I'm a big MLB fan (weird been australian) and their youtube channel is the gold standard of sport content IMO full highlights of every game in the most perfect way, insider interviews etc. If I could fault it, there is possibly TOO MUCH content that it's impossible to watch it all. If WB took some tips from MLB youtube it would be much better The world series highlight package is exceptional. That 18 inning game was for the ages!

I’m gonna disagree. First off. No one is watching WC downhill that isn’t a huge fan of Mtbs already. Making the broadcast 30-60 minutes isn’t gonna change that. It’s hard to even find the broadcast if you are looking for it. No one is stumbling across it. So let’s not pretend making it shorter will bring in more fans. If you want it to be shorter watch it for time delay and fast forward. Second, you guys kinda mentioned it on the last podcast, but there should be less emphasis on qualies, not more. I feel like there is currently...

Hopefully a "full time filmer" means a move away from BK's motion sickness inducing wildly wave the camera around style of edits.
