I assume if Greenland is moving on from syndicate it’s to a smaller team that can offer more for what he offers.  Media interest, wc winner, experience, fans, high potential for some solid results in right circumstances and small potential for a career rebound.  But who knows maybe NorCo is lining up someone for post Danny.

Personally i find it hard to believe syndicate had no interest in bringing back Laurie.  But the same way  a new opportunity is usually better than languishing in the old one when it comes to regular jobs.  The same is true for racers.  He has high value still but does syndicate need what he offers at this point in time?

The Syndicate needed a solid, consistent top 10 male rider to back up Jackson. Kolb will provide that, along with Nina to rack up the points for the team overall whilst Jackson battles the Alran brothers and Asa for race wins.

So... some math isn't mathing for me. Thanks to Spotify's podcast transcription feature, Troydon said, referring to Aaron Gwin, "He's got a small ownership in the company(Crestline) and we've set almost like some targets and over the next X number of years, as long as we hit those targets, Aaron will get like, you know, issued more equity in the brand."  AG gets applauded for his business acumen a lot here, yet people seem to think he'd ride for a different/rival bike brand while holding an incentivized stake in Crestline. Unless he's suddenly not a part of Crestline anymore, it makes as much sense to me as 2+2=5.

I am more confident by the day that you are going to be surprised by the bike he is racing next season.

The issue is potentially see is that if I recall correctly, Troydon mentioned the DH bikes were a limited run.. Is there enough of a demand to go fire up a full production run? Where as the ebikes are probably a better option sales wise.

I guess we'll see soon.. But, Crestline is still listed on the Gwin Racing IG...

How many DH bikes do you have to sell for the UCI to deem it a production bike?  Do you just have to have a frame for sale? Specialized didn't ride a production bike for 3 years, does the UCI even enforce the rule?

The production rule is more enforced on the road side of things.. Or just keep revising the prototype..

Yep, plus unless he's planning to make team cuts, he is also providing bikes for 2 other riders. So I'd wonder what happens to Gavin and Mikey if Gwin makes a change. Just follow him somewhere? Stay with CL on an even smaller program? Or would CL DH be done and they basically become an ebike brand with or without Gwin's ownership...

Just hard to ignore the bias of how much people would want Gwin and Dak to create a FW dream squad. But I can't imagine it's practical/possible.

Aaron Gwin will be on Frameworks.

You should save a screenshot of this with the downvotes for when things shakeout. I think you’ll get to serve a big case of ‘I told you so’.

This just in, negotiations are underway but the major sticking point between Neko and AG is AG’s stipulation around rebranding to “GwinWorks Racing” bahaha!

The one way it would make sense to me is if Crestline becomes the Frameworks E-bike sponsor and the Crestline DH bike goes away.

To afford AG, Dak, Asa on one team. It's the American dream, along with AG or Dak riding Yeti, but it's also financially 2+2=5

Wow, This made me think A LOT! But..I don't see CL being able to throw as much as the big S to Neko in anyway. That said it's pretty funny that Frameworks is the only brand of DH bike ANY of us can or anyone else buy out of the 3..🤣

Yeah, the math just isn't mathing, but hey, my lady says I'm wrong multiple times a day, so apparently, it wouldn't be a surprise if I'm wrong again. 🤣

On another note, you actually can get a Crestline DH frame. The Demo, just a question of when. Looks like it'll either coincide with Brembo and a Sram release or shortly after. It has one extra unexpected detail behind the cover. Dealer meetings are happening, so it's sooner (before next season 🤣) than later.

To be clear..I know there will be a Specialized DH being sold soon..I meant between Crestline/Yeti/Frameworks Dh bikes..There is a old saying, Win on Sunday sell on Monday. Only Frameworks can make MONEY on that. I just looked at Crestline website..They have NO bikes to sell, AT ALL. DH bike is sold out (As it has been for 2? years). Even their Ebike frame is sold out with delivery in the spring with pre-order. Super limited units too..as always. I just don't get it..If they were gonna open it up and sell 4 times as many ebikes that are awesome the price cold come down about $500+ per frame with mold cost. Yeti is in DH because of Richey Rude. But they spent $ to put a whole team behind him with only ONE size frame and one not used much mold. They are STILL back and forth about making a DH frame knowing how many people (Dentists😆) would pay to buy one. It's all just marketing for fun and loving racing why they are in it..

Dak is not going to be on Frameworks.

He will be on Nukeproof or Scott.

At least we should know teams relatively soon. The announcement of who gets 2 year status etc is 3 weekends after the last Tuesday of October. Which this weekend. The deadline to register team rosters is tomorrow.

Do the teams also have to post their race roster?

Or will we simply know which Teams are registered (e.g., Commencal Les Ores) but not who is on said team (e.g., Vali).

teams don't have to post their rosters. Historically the teams will have done a videos etc to announce a new riders only to have the UCI pre-empt them by announcing the teams.

My guess is the UCI will announce the team status and who is on the teams at the same time.

Your comment made me think. Will it still be Les Orres sponsoring that team now that Vali is going there? Seen as she has such a tight relationship and sponsorship with her home resort of Saalbach?

Finn to FMD? Not sure of the flying south reference. But people want to see him on a different team.

The good ol' Maples/pivot rumour....

Maples will not go to a 2nd range team.

My bet is Daprela on Pivot.

I'd love to agree but what are Maples options? Vali's commencal team, Pivot, Scott, Atherton?

And I doubt Pivot would hand the budget out to sign Daprela
