10/14/2025 7:54am Excited for Kolb to be on syndicate. Imo, the V10 is a more capable bike compared to the Tues and the team vibes seem great too.

10/14/2025 7:54am @matvaillancourt1 posted this photo in 2025 team rumors thread. "spotted in MSA" - is it real? with teams having to be selected in the next month, stands to reason they'd get photoshoots done in MSA before everyone goes home.

10/14/2025 7:47am Also Neko has been smart to get non bike industry sponsors who have significantly bigger pockets, like loc-tite and WD40. Yes they don't have a team truck like Trek or Canyon, but that doesn't mean they're not able to pay well.

10/14/2025 7:04am it's so fascinating that just tenths and even hundredths are determining so many places now. richie missing the show by .156, jewett even closer, just .039 off of qualifying. top 5 elite women w/in .360 of a second. if they crossed the line at 25mph, that's 36 feet to cram in 5 riders. it's mind boggling. and on a track like MSA where it seems like so much could go wrong (or right). 5 billion rocks to hang up on and slow a rider down, but they're all SO close. tomorrow will be a great show!

10/14/2025 6:54am Great question! I don't expect you to go off and research all this, so here's the breakdown: 1) iPhone GPS Refresh Rates Apple doesn't publish or guarantee a fixed GPS refresh rate for iPhones (including the new 17). Location updates are adaptive and event-driven, governed by system heuristics - which, as a developer, can be frustrating. In practice, we typically see no less than 1Hz refresh rates (one position update per second) as the norm (battery can throttle this - if its super low). 2) Android GPS Android devices face the same limitations - roughly 1Hz refresh rates across the...

10/11/2025 6:24pm if finn leaves I hope he goes to Orbea... just so we can hear everyone's feelings and opinions about that (bonus points for a lot more screen in screen shots of partners during a race run)

10/11/2025 6:19pm I think it will be a very interesting off-season. Many riders who were unlucky this season will probably stay on the track. The new UCI rules are not good for the majority of riders, especially since there is no feeder series. I assume that riders ranked below 22nd will have a very difficult time. Greenland, Hatton, Hart, Wilson are some of the ones I'm worried about. Wilson has a team, just like Gwin. But both riding and managing seem difficult to me today. Kerr is good, but his injury has ruined his season. There will be a big shake-up and...

10/11/2025 6:13pm Sorry, notifications got turned off for this thread for some reason, so I didn't see it. Rolled diameter doesn't affect the chain pitch. The pitch is the roller axis to roller axis distance. If you can mount it to the old stuff (after some wear), it's the same pitch.

10/11/2025 6:13pm That's because the lefty was designed back in the olden times when 100mm was long travel.

10/11/2025 6:11pm Honestly, roller bearings in a proper, non lefty modern fork with a separate damper and air Spring would be interesting to try. That was always the downfall of the long travel lefty, too many things crammed into such a small space for how much it had to move.

10/11/2025 6:17pm Roller diameter technically doesn't affect the chain pitch, but it changes the way the chain interacts with the chainring and cassette. That's why I said effective not actual pitch. At least in theory a T-type chain on a standard chainring has a higher chance of skipping because of the mismatch of roller diameter and tooth profile, just like an improper...

10/11/2025 6:00pm Really need to give huge kudos to Dak for the season he's having, he's no spring chicken, coming back from huge injury and he's sending it. I don't usually pull for a rider but I'm rooting for a big result from him, therefor I have deleted him from my fantasy team.
