Anyone know if Angel is staying on at FW? If not then It would be more plausible for Dak. I would love to see Dak on big team so gets all the support but he is certainly more of a small team guy. Would be cool to see what Dak could on Specailized or Canyon or Commencal but FW or Intense or Norco would be fitting.

I’ve been surprised for awhile there’s not a crowdfunded racing team. Put a bunch of fan fave riders on a fan fave team and watch magic happen like it did when Moir, Dean Lucas, and Charlie Harrison were together on Intense. Would pitch in a few hundred bucks for Frameworks or Gwin Racing to pick up Dak. Surely there’s a bunch of folks willing to do similar. Could do it under the auspices of Vital Racing

At US Nationals, everyone was squatting in tents all over the mountain, so none of us had anything to do when not practicing. So you literally hung with the team guys & mechanics in the pits out of the way & listened to stories. Kovachi Wheels used to be at all Nationals & John Kovachi was simply amazing. He'd spend every minute of every day just lacing up wheel after wheel & his crew of workers/racers were infectious too. let's say ronan had "stronger" rims or ran cushcore. would they allow him to ride like he does or would they ping-pong-ball off of every rock resulting in considerably slower results or blown lines? would cushcore be heavier and slower resulting in a different riding style and slower time? racing, especially now, is a battle of compromises. sometimes they pay off, sometimes they don't.

For once I have to agree wholeheartedly with Bizutch. Wheels are disposable for a team at this level. At certain races as a mechanic I built 15 wheels in a weekend for racers. Sometimes they were 1 run wheels, sometimes they lasted two days. But not one person on my team at a WC raced on the same wheels they practiced on...especially at MSA. Wheels are disposable goods at a WC level. dead wheels at a race mean absolutely nothing.

I really liked the idea of being able to choose your exact travel and I don't know why, but I'm into the idea of a 165mm or possibly 175mm fork. They should include one 5mm travel spacer.

Having had my Intend fork for a little over a year now, I did have issues with the travelizer. If I changed to either end of the travel I was better off opening it up and setting the travel. I could never get it to "catch" properly at either end of the range. So for that aspect the new design is stellar for me personally. On the other hand I am currently running my fork at 172mm because knowing the front and rear vertical travel is exactly the same makes me irrationally happy.

Maybe put the Alrans on Les Orres with Vali and that team should be earning some good points next year.. Commencal has options..

Yeah I think it is a selling point that nobody ever really uses. I don't think more than a handfull of people across the world will be converting their rallon from enduro rig to a DH rig for a park weekend on an even semi-regular basis. Are people really going to get the different links, shock, fork, and maybe wheels/tires just for a couple of park weekends a year? And if you're actually going to a park more often I'd say its easier to just own a decent DH bike. IDK man. I'd say it's a way bigger win for...

lol even worse. i had only meant against the apparent 'false accusation' or whatever. the initial incident. but ya surely theres nothing to threaten there since he clearly did SOMETHING wrong even if it wasnt as bad as many assume. i also feel like nobody in the pits is on his side? like nobody has had the feeling 'hes such a good guy i cant imagine its true so i still talk to him' or something. not that i know anything for sure. its telling nobody is tempted to touch that with a ten foot pole when hes clearly still...
