If only someone made a linkage that allowed a longer shock to to be run on the Levo and it yielded 170 mm of travel. That would be wild.

I am very curious about this one. As much as i love my intend fork, ordering from them is very inconvenient and expensive with the current exchange rate, shipping costs, transaction fees and tariffs on top.

Across the multiple forums I follow I haven't heard one peep of issues with the sidekick nor have I had any myself after a years use. I echo the same e13 concerns you have but the sidekick has been flawless. Could be they over built it to avoid repeating history and then realized where they could save weight on V2, rather than the other way around.

what was not newsworthy (because nobody buys ads or sends free product for "review"): how a small company from freiburg, germany with a few employees beats the big companies in fork and brake performance and quality craftmanship

Thanks for the math award. I don’t even practice so it’s double nice. We are also very handsome here on the messageboards. That bike is super dumb looking.

One thing that became almost immediately clear in the relatively short time that I have been reading and participating in bike-related internet forums is that the proportion of posters that are good at math is extremely high. It seems that 1 in 10 is an actual engineer, and the proportion of math-brained folks among the remainder is way higher than the public at large. As such, holding back geometry information strikes me as misguided because one's efforts are destined to be futile unless they also refuse to release pictures of the product. From the moment the bike is portrayed in...

In honor of the 1000th page, we should vote on the best meme of 2025: 👍🏻 for “Crab” 👎🏻 for “6-7” edit: Carcinization is the antithesis of innovation. Maybe we should keep crab talk on the crab talk forum and keep this thread focused on MTB tech rumors and/or innovation.

Hard pass. But best of luck to everyone that has a YT or is trying to get refunded or an actual bike that they ordered. Using Flossman as the centerpiece of your comeback press release is a wild marketing move.

Some time ago, I was thinking about a YT bike (besides 3 other bike brands), not my cup of tea, but was on the list. Now for me the brand simply doesn´t exist.

You might have already figured this out by now but if the torque wrench you're using is one-way only, to tighten the drive side of an ISO threaded BB all you need to do is poke an extension bar through the BB shell into the BB tool from the non-drive side... Also works on UDHs etc.

When were tech rumours banned from the tech rumours thread? Edit: Less sarcastic response: The e-bike thread is for non-tech-rumour related e-bike discussions. The e-bike discussion above however looks very much like tech rumours to me.

V+R Racing is just two mere peasants (well, a nurse and a medical device engineer). When we started out in 2019 the two of us were just buying DH bikes for junior riders who needed them. Many seasons and many riders later, we had two world cup DH juniors in '25 with one finishing second overall and the other finishing 10th overall. We obviously can't afford our own team, but we can still be a hat/helmet sponsor. I'm still driving my 16 year old car - it just comes down to priorities for us. And we're proof it doesn't have...

I thought it was very brave of Ebruner to be vulnerable and share how many bikes he and his wife have. It can be tough to come clean. We’re all active or recovering bikes addicts here, and this is supposed to be a supportive community for recovery. Or enabling rationalizations and fostering codependency, if that’s what you’re looking for. Both, really. JUDGEMENT FREE SPACE
