No need to convince me, I just find it ridiculous that’s all. Perhaps I don’t own 3 or more bikes and I don’t need to swap stuff around at all and so it doesn’t really affect me, as long as you’re happy with boost and I am with superboost then it’s all good

Well the bad news is that I don't know what to tell you, and the good news is that I have nothing to prove, nor nothing to gain for convincing you. I have a lot of mountain bikes and so does my wife, 6 between us. Everyone of our bikes has sram brakes with metallic pads, 200mm hs2 rotors and the same sram drivetrains and sram dt350 hubs on every wheelset save one. There are two extra floater wheelsets between all of the bikes. I think it may actually be more important for me to be on the right tires...

I run the same rear wheel size and rotors and tires and forks and frames on all of my bikes for maximum interchangeability

Fingers crossed they go back to 148. Some of my favorite bikes were Evil, but I switched to other brands when they went to Superboost. As someone with multiple bikes, and having been on riding trips where people had to borrow rear wheels, Superboost is a dealbreaker for me. My current trail bike is a 2022 model, and I haven't been interested in any new bikes. If Evil goes back to 148, I would probably order one at release.

I have a real hard time believing AI is going to result in some sort of utopia for the masses. There's enough money right now that we could all get some level of UBI and be working less and spending more time on our passion projects. But when have the ultra wealthy EVER wanted to part with even a little bit more of their money? If we just give them a few more tax breaks to pay for their data centers and help subsidize the cost of the electricity and water to run them so they can become trillionaires, THEN...

I really liked the idea of being able to choose your exact travel and I don't know why, but I'm into the idea of a 165mm or possibly 175mm fork. They should include one 5mm travel spacer.

Having had my Intend fork for a little over a year now, I did have issues with the travelizer. If I changed to either end of the travel I was better off opening it up and setting the travel. I could never get it to "catch" properly at either end of the range. So for that aspect the new design...

Respectfully, it's more accurate to say " Pro tip, your super enduro will absolutely be acceptable for DH trails." No matter how good long travel single crown bikes are these days, there's still no replacement for displacement.

I was about to say something similar. Honestly I'm split, On the one hand $20k for a bike is bonkers. On the other hand I understand why a company like Specialized wants to build a halo product. It's about brand image and also it makes the regular (non S-works) models seem like a better deal. An $8k bike (e or normal) looks much more reasonable sitting next to a $20k model.

I agree with this guy, it makes no difference in steering feel as long as the grips end up in the same location, except for one wrinkle: steerer tubes flex, and the more spacers you add, the more steerer tube flex you get. Handlebars flex and stems flex (to a much smaller degree), but part of the reason dual crowns feel sick is because they're so stiff, both above and below the crown race. For most riders, steerer tube flex won't be a big deal, but for bigger, heavier, or faster riders it will be noticeable in back to back...
