Don't think I've seen it be mentioned before, but a lot of riders sponsored by YT have been running the new Super Deluxe Coil Ultimate on the Tues, even though they're built around a 267x89 shock rather than the metric sizing that all of the newest Rockshox shocks use. I'm assuming its a custom item that Rockshox are producing for YT just because they want sponsored riders to be using their latest and greatest tech rather than the now decade old Vivid (although Johann Potgieter was on one at Worlds), but it got me thinking, are there any other current...

Single pivots are Hella fun, because they're bikes and they soak up bumps. Do you prefer hardtails?

Evil moving to DW-6 would definitely get me to consider them again. I was a die hard Evil fan for many years, I owned 4 of their frames in a row, then their “improvements” became so incremental that my eye started wondering to other brands. When they switched to Superboost it was the final mail in the coffin. Hopefully they have something new in the works that would get me to consider them again.

Devinci won’t leave the split-pivot, they just started using a high-pivot version of it. Ibis is strictly on dw-link. Now, Evil leaving the delta-suspension and trying something new like a dw6 design would be great! All their bikes look the same and have been single-pivots for quite some time (cause that’s what the delta is - a single pivot design).

DW6 has a pivot on the chainstay. Go check an Atherton

For what it's worth, people spotted a few Evil vans testing prototypes at a badass trail near Leavenworth, WA a couple of weeks ago. What the hell would I know, But that doesn't seem like a company that is dissolving.

Not necessarily a rumor (or even an innovation for that matter), but Dave Weagle's DW-Link patent is about to expire in the US.

I have a friend that is a bit overwheight and he bought a Fox DHX2 to replace the X2 and he has like 40% of sag with his coil... he said nobody makes one with a spring rate of about 800 like he would need on that bike! I have 65mm stroke for my 155mm of travel... 60mm stroke for 176mm of travel doesnt work! lol

They stopped making the mid link (the vertical link behind the seat tube) in carbon. It's alloy only now. Supposedly that was the one that was breaking.
