pdon Added a new Feature REVIEW: Alchemy Argos Au Titanium Hardtail

Hardtail mountain bikes come in several flavors, from mile-crushing cross-country bikes to long and slack "hardcore hardtails." The most common frame materials are aluminum, carbon fiber, and steel...

For what it's worth, people spotted a few Evil vans testing prototypes at a badass trail near Leavenworth, WA a couple of weeks ago. What the hell would I know, But that doesn't seem like a company that is dissolving.

Looks like another quality DT product, I'm just glad you dented it. A DH rim test without dents is a sham.

I second, or third, this. I bought some Deore brakes for my fat bike through one of these sellers this winter. If you PM me, I can look up the sellers name

My riding season is about 9-months long. Sure, I would love to ride year-round, but I think a little bit of a break can be beneficial even if it isn't ideal. After a long riding season, I think a little time off can recharge the stoke. During the spring/summer/fall riding becomes part of the routine. Over the winter you are...

My Canfield Lithium came stock with the Hazzard. It was great. Quiet, reliable, plenty of adjustment. I ended up switching to an air shock on that bike but I should have kept the MRP. I’ve also had the MRP Raven and Ribbon over the years. Both solid forks

I loved the Stanton Switchback as a do-it-all shredder. You can ride that thing pretty damn hard. If I was to pick one as a second bike in the quiver, the Nimble 9 is so much fun, that thing is an absolutely razor blade in terms of handling and precision.

When we think about frame material for hardtail mountain bikes, a few usual suspects come to mind. Aluminum offers an attainable price point and a solid strength-to-weight ratio. Carbon fiber is light...

If you can pop over the border, Bromont in Quebec is super cool. I have a soft spot for Sugarbush. It’s not the most polished , but the stuff in the “Eden” zone is really really fun classic New England loam and roots

I heard something interesting recently that suggested manufacturers are directing the bulk of their focus "downcountry" and enduro bikes these days. As a result, everything in between the two ends of the MTB spectrum hasn't received nearly as much attention. I do think this sort of thing is a little cyclical...my guess is that sooner or later we will see...

There are a number of ways to improve the handling of your mountain bike. Perhaps the most noticeable is in the wheels. A solid set of hoops with quality hubs can make even an entry-level rig feel race-ready. When it comes to racing, Reynolds has the pedigree with their Blacklabel line of wheels. Vital took on the Blacklabel Trail Expert wheels this spring and after months of riding, we're ready to share our findings. Crazy theory, but what if the “demo” platform fin Iles is testing is actually the new enduro? The upper link looks a little short and seeing the specialized gravity story, it doesn’t look quite like 200mm of travel. Seems to be running a full 29 as well. Specialized has done this before with the previous version of the demo being partially developed from the enduro evo.

That Marz shock is super intriguing. Assuming it is extremely competitively priced like the Bomber CR, it could be a great option for a lot of riders. In a world of $700+ shocks, it would be awesome to see a decent air shock that can take some abuse at a significantly lower price
