You are correct, assuming a budget compression tune, or just a bad compression tune. The beauty of the twin tube design is that all adjustments are external and a cane creek can be dialed in to whatever rider weight or frame kinematics without a factory tune. My current frame is a single pivot that has about 4% progression, but I prefer my cane creek coil over the air, and I prefer the EXT Storia over them both (a coil). The downside of the Storia is that it does require an internal adjustment per frame, but the USA distributor factors that...

I could see that as being the most sensible - the current slash is pretty good & the remedy has not been updated in a long time. Apparently its been confirmed as a slash. The current gen slash is a darn good bike if you want to own one bike that actually pedals pretty good, im not convinced HP enduro bikes are good enough to justify its trade offs.

I got bids on a couple of bikes that were such a joke. Insulting really. They are the equivalent of a used car dealership. Really taking advantage of the poor folks who are in such a hurry that they fail to see the difference in what money ends up in their pockets by generating a Craigslist, ebay and/or pinkbike ad.

They do what spherical bearings do, reduce side loading of the shock. And they do this with standard 15mm eyelet size.

My buddy is a rep for Ride Concepts and he told me about a month ago that they were in talks to be acquired by a "big" company. He couldn't tell me which but that makes sense.

Fox Factory owns Race Face...so adding shoes to the Race Face clothing kinda makes sense.

Yea that bike has been baked in for quite a while. I believe they shot the promo video and photos for it last fall. Assuming issues with supply chain, waiting on aluminum version and old stock to clear out of shops have delayed it. The shops stock is probably the big one. Shops bought a bunch of not-that-old Slashes for 2023 season and with bike glut and Specialized's insane pricing this year they've had trouble moving them out. Trek can't launch the new frame until the shop inventories are much lower, so they're waiting.

Specialized does own the Trust design now. Though my guess is we will see that on gravel bikes from them.
