The new Hope Evo brakes also use the same size threading as Sram Mineral Oil brakes. So you could order a Hope bleed cup and the Evo adapter if you wanted to bleed Mavens with it. I know because I did the opposite and used a new Sram mineral oil syringe as an improvised bleed cup for my GR4’s.

Thicker rotors only reduce lever travel (which comes from less of a gap between pads and rotor) till the pads are worn a bit and the caliper seals let the pistons slip out a bit to make up for some of the wear. Then, the lever throw is only depending on the seal roll back of the caliper piston seals. The same effect can be achieved by pumping the brakes and by that advancing the pistons slightly before you insert a thinner rotor.

I never care about top loading or whatever Everytime I change pads is a chance of give the brakes a clean, possibly a bleed, and then installing the pads again When I had the mt7 I was using the bridged pads from Trickstuff, done plenty of park days where I finished the and it took 5 min in the parking lot to get everything cleaned, replaced and aligned I would t chuck pads in without taking the wheel out or caliper out

Somehow emtbs are going in a direction a lot of us figured they’d go from the start. It is more and more about the motor and the battery and less and less about the „bike“ part. They might be fun, they might be fast. But to me it seems more and more like two different sports. With those new torque numbers, it seems rather dubious (ridiculous) to talk of assistance. Maybe the rider assisting the motor, but not the other way around. Not even world class sprinters come close to outputting what a full power Avinox or Bosch is doing...

This is not radial. "Low Bias" maybe, radial tires have ply oriented perpendicular to the rolling direction, and thats it. No one in this modern "radial" tire fad has made a radial tire yet. All just low bias.

Energy is only dissipated if you permanently deform something. Otherwise it’s just temporarily stored. (Think about how springs would make a terrible crumple zone) If you apply a given force (not acceleration) at the axle, the forces at the headset bearings are the same if you have a single or dual crown fork. Think about a spring as an example...
If you draw a free body diagram you’ll find that the forces are the same for a given A2C length. Stiffness doesn’t change forces applied. Dual crown rated mostly means that it won’t instantly be destroyed if a fork bumper hits the side of the frame.

When you don't have the bridge it's not only the steering torsional stiffness that is important. You also have to balance the forces left and right. The spring only acts in one way while the damper always oposes movement. The way the axle gives torsional stiffness also impacts how well both legs travel up and down at the same time.
