3/10/2026 1:08pm Interesting, for some reason I assumed that smaller brands like EXT, Cane Creek, or Push for example would want their stuff back to service and send off to another media outlet for review/test purposes. Kind of like how the auto industry has press loaners.

3/10/2026 10:53am Do most manufacturers not normally provide review units as a loaner? I assumed that most non-consumable products like frames and suspension were eventually returned to the manufacturer.

3/3/2026 11:34am Was the front hub the one that you can convert to 20mm? (ISO AB i think they called it) My TR-11 has one CL and one 6b King because the 20mm hub was 6b only and the 148 was CL only.

Pads retract based on piston seal rollback, not on master cylinder volume. It's a common myth, one I believed until I started deep diving into brake bleeds because of persistent issues bleeding brakes. Here's a video explanation: https://youtu.be/mPptmoy0u3s?si=t8CNIRP7x5uGnBrf

2/17/2026 4:31pm So they don’t use a control pad or a control rotor? Their test setup photos don’t look like they properly apply the force to the pocket of the brake lever either. Junk science all around IMO.

I wouldn't put much weight in the enduro mag test findings - the results don't make any sense. I see a few issues: 1. Shimano XTR, XT, and SLX all have the same mechanical and hydraulic power output, but the test results show them as being wildly different. 2. They also show TRP DHR evo as dramatically underperforming XTR. Having used both, this is just incorrect... 3. And lastly, XTR being next to Maven in terms of test results in laughable. 1/29/2026 6:40am If I recall correctly King’s claim was that they switched to CL only because they had limited production capacity during covid and CL hubs can run any rotor through the use of adapters. 6B hubs aren’t “universal” in the same way.
