7/3/2025 4:54pm 1.5-2.5lbs-ish is pretty typical for aluminum vs carbon. An aluminum Sentinel frame is 9.9lb (medium) and the carbon one is 7.41lb (medium).

6/27/2025 9:36am If you’re going to mix them it would be guide RSC levers on code calipers. The guide and the code levers share a lot of the same internals. It’s one rebuild kit. You might find that they get weird as the pads wear though. I think the Guide may have a smaller reservoir on the lever.

6/20/2025 6:04pm It might make a difference when you’re applying like 80-100% brake. It won’t make any difference when you’re lightly applying the brake, like 0-10%. You have to expand the hose before the braid can apply any force to it. It’s not like it’s pretensioned around the inner hose.

I'm getting the new VTX in for testing shortly on my Megatower. Currently on the Vorsprung Telum. Excited to compare both against my stock SDLX Ultimate with HBO, which is a great shock in its own right.

6/5/2025 10:29am Is Vital gonna be getting The Push VTX or the new EXT Vecta in for review? I’m trying to decide what to get to long-shock my sentinel and there seems to be quite a few new products that offer a custom tuned shock for only a little more than a Vivid/DHX2.

5/24/2025 10:53am I think there was a decision at some point to shoot for looser bushings so that riders (and reviewers) have a great initial impression out of the box rather than having to ride a for for a while and break it in.

5/22/2025 12:48pm I could be wrong, but I think a moving bushing (like on a dirt bike) is actually more tolerant of misalignment.

Holy mother of God!!! I would not want that thing anywhere near my bushings (fork or otherwise)!! For real, as @Dave_Camp said this thing will do all kinds of nasty stuff to the bushings besides burnish it to size. This is what is recommended by GGB for their DP4 bushing (steel backed, sintered bronze and teflon coated, looks very much like the stuff that is used in shock eyelets, probably very different to what is used in fork lowers): https://www.ggbearings.com/en/our-products/metal-polymer-bearings/dp4

5/20/2025 5:43pm What are your thoughts on suspension shops “sizing” bushings. I’ve heard some people claim it’s mandatory if you want the fork to work right and I’ve heard others claim that it just makes your fork sloppy and loose.
