11/26/2024 3:31am Another little birdie also mentioned to me that the Forbidden E-Bike is going to be “very special”. If it comes with the DJI motor, it will indeed be very special.

11/25/2024 7:44am Despite liking the design of the Pendulum pedal I'm wondering if their claim that the plattform sits 12mm below the axle can be true? The outer diameter of the threads is 9/16 inch which is roughly 14.3mm - for me the distance between the axle and the plattform would be less than half of that so rather 6 or 7mm. Or did I get something wrong? Not a major flaw but they should have their numbers right for 300$
If it wasn't that expensive I would really like to try them - they look really interesting. Btw the Loam...

11/24/2024 11:25am Some our local rippers / engineers came up with a very unique "axle-less" pedal. Machined here in Calgary, Alberta and testing in the rocky mountains. They use a big ol 6902 bearing for spinny duties. The pendulum (drop pedal) is super interesting. Void pedals (traditional flat) Pendulum pedals (12mm drop) "Our platform sits 12mm below the center of the axle. Most pedals place the platform 5mm or more above the center of the axle. This effectively lowers the rider's center of mass 17mm or more offering a significant stability, and control. During sudden decelerations, the pedal acts as a pendulum...

11/22/2024 10:04am Yup. And they were told to not be a copy cat again before release but apparently ignored it. Copying arguably the best brake on the market and even doing improvements AND then iterating on them with more improvements is one thing. Blindly copying the most well known CNC crank on the market that is not even the best design for. A crank is just pure laziness... I was in the give the benefit of doubt camp before this release, now there is no helping them.

11/22/2024 10:03am Thanks for the post (and noting the broken link). I just took care of it. As to the questions... 1) Its pretty light. The low variant has a smaller magnet and weighs ~66 grams (total) whereas the medium and tall variant have larger magnets and weigh ~88 grams (total). These are untrimmed numbers. 2) While pedaling, there is zero additional friction. Pedaling forces always pull the chain off the magnet (immediately, you will not notice it). Also, while in the higher part of your cassette (say, climbing) the magnet is further from the chain and the force significantly weaker, which...

11/21/2024 6:42am " A World Series Team will be allowed to sell Official World Series Team Merchandise & host hospitality with guests/sponsors from their paddock space" Lol. Is that an exclusive statement or inclusive? As in they can sell WC Team merch or can only sell WC Team merch. Why do I feel like every time I read these updates they are speaking directly towards Mr Kerr and his team?

11/18/2024 9:21pm What Neko is doing is not comparable to what Zink is “doing”. Neko has been open from conception whereas Zink has just turned up with a frame. I’d wager most would buy a Frameworks if they could. A Zink, I’m not so sure… The dude can FreeSlope with the best, but “design” a bike…

11/13/2024 3:30am I think it was discussed quite a lot on previous pages in this thread that Loris had signed for Commençal Muc-Off. Although I have heard that he was really happy to go back to fox suspension. But irony is rumor out there now is that Muc-Off are on the full SRAM/RS set up next year.
