8/26/2024 7:00am My position is that with the mid-power e-bikes that are coming out, those are going to replace 'Enduro' bikes. Did you see the O'chain test that TeamRobot did? Pushing his Santa Cruz up that hill every time, while enjoying the improvement that the O-Chain brought. Wouldn't the E-Slash fix both of those issues? Don't tell me that a mid-power e-bike is cheating. How is riding your e-bike uphill cheating, yet walking or shuttling is somehow considered real biking? Give me a break.

8/26/2024 6:23am I have the previous model of the fox rampage pro carbon, got it for a really good price a few years back due to the newer one. Best fitting helmet ive ever owned, would not hesitate to buy another if it got smashed, for the right price of course. Doesn't get used that much these days as im an ebiker...

8/20/2024 11:20pm Only thing I read was the price and that (awesome) comparison table. I know my next comparison is dumb, but I bought a sick pumptrack bike delivered for a lot less than this seatpost... More on point: I feel like oneup is still way ahead of the game here. I have a slightly wobbly 180 v2 on my current bike and will 100% replace whatever comes on my next bike with a 210mm v3.

8/20/2024 11:19pm Fox Marketing, “How much is MSRP for the most expensive wireless post? 795? Ok, as $65 to that and send it. Oh, battery, add $20 to the SRAM battery price. Just because. What’s that you say? GoPro batteries are $25. Pfft. Losers don’t know what people will pay.” Like Yeti (the bike and the coolers) people will pay dumb prices for a brand. Don’t get me wrong Yeti makes nice stuff. And so does Fox. But in a market (bikes) that is STRUGGLING its seems a bit strange to just ask for more. Especially when we, as consumers, have ZERO...

8/11/2024 7:06am Yes that’s correct, that will happen when you let 497 competitors race a track like this, alot of underqualified riders on course who do not belong in a race of this caliber. Very difficult to navigate practice do to the sheer number of people on course and lift ques couseing alot of riders to drop into seeding unprepared.

7/30/2024 7:00am if fox is really that hurting maybe it‘s time to get their insane prices down to an acceptable level… outside of the US it‘s ridiculous, especially in europe.

6/20/2024 11:46pm So the TLDR is that Transmissions benefits over eagle are: 1. Better shifting ramps, so multiple shifts or shifting under load is MUCH better 2. Better gear spacing 3. More Expensive (the most important part when showing up at the trailhead to ride IMBA carpeted trails)

6/17/2024 7:56am Commentators (including Gwin) mentioned multiple times the difficulty in setting the bike up for the different sections of the track. Then Loic and Finn go 1-2 with their magic secret Ohlins electronics, leaving Williams who was on the uncovered "stock" Ohlins down in 17th. Who knows whats going on the background in Specialized Gravity, would be sad if they are edging him out. Williams would be lead rider on most teams but here he's third string and seemingly not getting the best set up.

6/11/2024 10:21am Wokeness. Bike companies railroad riders & racers all day, every day. You could be the easiest to work with, but the bike company is going to shaft you at some point. No way around it. When they want out, they do that passive aggressive post about "Positive Vibes Past. Positive Vibes Moving Forward. Wish "x" well." Zink & me probably wouldn't be able to stand each other long but I LOVE that guy. He got the heck out of Cali, loves his family, doesn't take crap, gets rowdy & stupid as needed & knows how to calculate risk vs reward...

6/8/2024 10:58am The best solution on the market atm for drivetrain durability seems like Shimano's 11spd linkglide system. A very robust cassette/chain/der solution. Know a few riders that had constant issues with 12spd dt's (either Sram or Shimano) on their ebikes and for a few months now no issues. In general it seems strange you see xx / xtr (and all 12 speed groups for that matter) on 22lbs xc race bikes and the same system on 50lbs e-enduro monsters...

6/8/2024 10:56am Agree. It’s all getting a bit reality tv without much in the way of results. The hay days of Rennie, Peaty, Minnaar, Bryceland and Roskopp are long gone. It’s amazing how fast things can change under corporate leadership.

Long live YT and all the good consumer direct brands. the lbs can kick rocks. After you manage work at and live the lbs it’s really not that cool. A bunch of 20 something’s who think there so cool… and always the old creepy culty leader guy who is a supposed local pro until you find out it’s all lies lol. Do your own work save your money. 6/7/2024 10:29pm I’d rather walk than ride a road bike. Gear boxes, or at least the benefits of them, make way more sense to me than a derailleur. The disadvantages in climbing, shifting speed, weight, etc seem negligible. Aside from the grip shift, because that is an absolute no-go. Like putting a thumb throttle on a dirt bike.

6/7/2024 10:26pm I guess their ad translates to its a downhill shuttle bike and that makes sense. Why not have long travel if you have assist? Mine is 180f/165r and its my dh/xc/shuttle/bp/gravel/commuter because its still quicker than any category non assist bike. Boring flatter chundery xc trails are now fun as well

5/30/2024 7:52am For an ebike, shifting delays really suck. For a traditional bike, shifting delays really suck. Transmission, when paired with Sram's ebike motor (rebranded Brose) will likely reduce wear on your chain & cassette, but I don't think its worth the added weight, cost, complexity, and laggy shifts.
