6/8/2024 5:24am Seriosly, I broke a head tube off on trestle dh nothing….no support what so ever. Kona should have died ages ago. Long live YT and all the good consumer direct brands. the lbs can kick rocks. After you manage work at and live the lbs it’s really not that cool. A bunch of 20 something’s who think there so cool… and always the old creepy culty leader guy who is a supposed local pro until you find out it’s all lies lol. Do your own work save your money. A lot of weird people out there still sipping the Kona...

6/7/2024 10:29pm I’d rather walk than ride a road bike. Gear boxes, or at least the benefits of them, make way more sense to me than a derailleur. The disadvantages in climbing, shifting speed, weight, etc seem negligible. Aside from the grip shift, because that is an absolute no-go. Like putting a thumb throttle on a dirt bike.

6/7/2024 10:26pm I guess their ad translates to its a downhill shuttle bike and that makes sense. Why not have long travel if you have assist? Mine is 180f/165r and its my dh/xc/shuttle/bp/gravel/commuter because its still quicker than any category non assist bike. Boring flatter chundery xc trails are now fun as well

5/30/2024 7:52am For an ebike, shifting delays really suck. For a traditional bike, shifting delays really suck. Transmission, when paired with Sram's ebike motor (rebranded Brose) will likely reduce wear on your chain & cassette, but I don't think its worth the added weight, cost, complexity, and laggy shifts.

5/30/2024 7:51am So when transmission dropped, all everyone could talk about was how fast the shifting was. Then, once the hype died down, truth started to leak out. https://youtu.be/hT4ysSz4UV8?si=CZ5TpLE707pRgAl1&t=1081 For instance, in the above video (link has timestamp) they were testing the climbing times of high powered ebikes (Rocky Mountain won, I love their approach to ebike motors). The Transmission equipped ebikes were slower because of the non-trivial delay in shifting. I' actually surprised that companies like e*13, OneUp, Garbaruk, etc haven't made a machined replacement for the top portion of traditional derailleurs to use the T-type mount, allowing for hanger-free Shimano...

5/18/2024 10:41pm I think it is fair to say that it is just as hard to win an e-bike race as it is any other type of racing. Why wouldn't it be? But that's beside the point.

5/17/2024 7:15am I don't condone this, but a little trick that's been picked up over the years. This works on current Fox 40/49. When I showed the local Fox tech this he fell off his chair lol Pump to 110psi compress the fork roughly 3cm release air pressure to 80PSI Now you have fork that never reaches equalization ports and tops out on air. Above is for 180mm setting, lower the main pressure more and it will go slightly lower but ride like shit. It may take a few goes to get it right and I take no resonsibility for your shit...

5/14/2024 11:51am enduro seemed a supply-side endeavor, people racing the bikes we buy. Now we’re buying ebikes. It’s the same (as you said).

5/14/2024 11:51am Correct. Racers are learning it's to be replaced with e-. That's why you see Richie and Jack on big bikes, Makes talking about it (probably doing it), etc. It's no coincidence several teams pulled the cord last year, that yeti now put out a dh bike, etc etc etc. I even thing Isab Cord is gonna spend that year off to spend time on the DH.

5/6/2024 2:32am Yes. Because even with a subscription I can not watch. And what law should that be? The I am not allowed to stream a landscape law? You need to be realistic. I paid for something I do not get and I still have hope that someone understands that there are probably toussnds of fans in the same situation. Setting up a camera gor a stream would be the most simple way of providing a minimum of information. Even the UCI and Chris Ball should be able to understand that. Alternatively I am absolutly willing to listen to a radio. Rob...

5/4/2024 8:21am could be, but kinda odd to make a „not so racey“ DH-race bike… to me the new tues is a total letdown. first the diaper to suggest something new and different is coming but the end result is basically a mullet version of the old bike with bumpstops added to the frame. geo is mostly the same except flipchip and on the conservative side. look what others are doing like canyon, pivot, norco, even the new V10 is more different.

5/4/2024 8:21am they should add it as an accessoire when buying a new tues. kinda ridiculous to launch that „new“ bike and their team riders are already using a different configuration the next day

5/2/2024 10:31pm This is crazy, the best race weekend content by MILES. Fox should of been able to find a way to monetize this better to be able to justify it seemed like it got good views and everything. UCI should higher these two guys and keep it rolling, the stuff with Jordi was great but the interview format and track walk stuff was really great.
