Am I right in the assumption that this race in particular, that the riders knew the threat of cancellation-so most would have done a race run simulation...it's not the first time an elite athlete would be told there's a good chance the event wont happen, so "give er' in the quali, because that might stick"....that being said, I think we at least got legit results. Congrats Asa and Gracey!

The main thing I've learned from this cancellation is that whether it's your local organiser, the UCI, WBD or Red Bull who cancel a race. Some fans will lose their sh"t no matter what. And the most entitled will be the most vocal. Lucky you guys ain't alpine ski fans. Cos weather cancels those races almost weekly sometimes 🤣😂

Knowing the hill, from wombat gap down it would be properly slick and very dangerous. The lower jumps wouldn't be possible. Once the rain has time to soak a bit it rides fine, but initially you get slick clay on rock hard clay and it's just death.

Definitely, I ride to the trails (about 10 mins) in boost, get there quick smart and fresh. Knock it back to trail on the ep8 and thats plenty of assistance for me. Ride until I'm tired, grab a beer and back home on boost again. No cars involved. I swear it's faster to ride than drive around my way.

Honestly, very cool to see Kabota putting in some effort though. I know they're useful trail building, but beyond that, its still pretty outside the industry. Big fan of seeing that. Matt Mcduff needs a tractor sponsor now.

He was hooked up by a friend with a frame company and not a paying sponsorship deal. The money is coming from the fact that since he doesn’t have an official sponsor he can plaster the frame with Kubota advertising. He even says he is going to try other bikes later in the year.

I loved the pre-Adidas 5.10 shoes. They were my favourite flat pedal shoe. Post Adidas, I really didn't like the direction they took. The soles of the last post-Adidas pair I had were so ridiculously soft that my feet hurt from pedalling in them. I could feel my foot folding around the pedals. It was like riding barefoot. I still have them, and I wear them once in a while (not to ride), and I feel like I can feel every little pebble I'm stepping on. Maybe some people like there flat pedal shoes soft like that, but I want...

The 2025 announcement was at least around Feb 4 because that’s the date on the articles about it. Whatever happens to Laurie, I hope he’s happy. Same for the other riders too

When Jack's post said that after 14 years, he wanted time to do things he wants to do.. Even if there was an offer on the table with someone, that doesn't mean he has to take it. There comes a point where one's mental health becomes the priority. He even mentioned that he had previously considered retirement.. Not everyone wants to race to the point that they are lucky to qualify.. Burnout is a real thing, even amongst some of the best in the biz...
